The list goes on....
Occasionally when I do a cut or copy, then past in an audio track, only part of the area is pasted. Any ideas?

Only thing I can think of is Consolidating the track first.
Maybe you are getting a 'chunk' of audio from the temp directory instead of the desired whole section.
As a test, selecting the whole track (CTRL+A = select all) and trying Track-Consolidate audio region first would narrow it down. If the track is all one contiguous chunk, this possibility would be eliminated.
