Problem: I can't record a guitar track with Real Band. I see Vu meters move, I hear guitar in headphones, but when I try to record, I see "keep take?", I clik YES, then I see "problem running C:\STOM^.exe. I play back, I hear no guitar. I do hear the real traks I loaded, but no guitar.

Some details:
Guitar connected to line in of my compaq computer running windows 7. Real Band (RB) options-> preferences show Audio type driver is MME. clicking on "drivers..." shows 2 audio inputs: 1. Microsoft sound mapper 2. Line In (RealTek Hi def, and 'Line In (RealTek Hi def' is highlighted.

Must be a setup issue but I'm lost in the weeds, I'd appreciate any help, thanks!

Problem seems to have solved itself. I shut down RB, windows said it has applied "compatability settings", I re-oped RB, now I can record. On the the next problem!
