I'm interested in y'all's ideas about how to take advantage of the generated midi track that appears right below the RT riff...

You can use it with a VST Instrument http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=rb&Number=387695

Thanks...I see how you've "doubled" the RT with midi-vsti sounds. I like that.

Do you think there is any value in the midi information that RB has "presented" so that one could manipulate/change what RT generated?

You can't change the midi notes to change the RT notes. It is just basic notation of what is being played,
so if a guitarist wants to play the riff the notation can be viewed in the notation window or be printed out.

As solidrock mentioned, it's a one way street. They notate the RT for you via MIDI, but you can't alter the RT via the MIDI. You can use the MIDI however you like, but it won't change the generated Realtrack. Otherwise they'd just be samples and they aren't.

OK, that usage makes a lot of sense..
