When I try to do a shot in Real Band or BIAB with Real Tracks I enter for instance C..
The real tracks do not stop-what am I doing wrong?

Just checked and it works here.

Which RealTracks exactly are you using when you experience the problem?

How far are you stretching the Tempo away from the target for the RealTracks?

Try a reboot of the computer first, too, often clears up things that don't do what they should.

I just realized that all of the problems that I have been having with RB audio not syncing has been caused by stretching the audio in BIAB!!!!!

Thank you

Now all of the sudden I have no audio track playing the waves are there but no sound?

I believe you were right the first time.
The reason for the confusion may be as follows:
In BIAB, there are four possible chord settings.
1. No Rest - chords play normally
2. Rest (.) - silence
3. Shot (..) - chord is played, then cut off
4. Hold Chord (...) - chord played, but sustained
5. BIAB works as expected - for MIDI and Real Tracks.

Now for my experience with Real Band:
1. The four chord functions work as expected with MIDI.
2. They also work for Real Drums.
3. But, Real Band does not recognize these functions for any real instrument other than drums.
4. Result - no matter what chord function is set, real instruments keep playing as though there is no rest.

Test it out:
1. A measure of "No Rest"
2. A measure of "Rest" (.)
3. A measure of "Shot" (..)
4. A measure of "Hold Chord" (...)
5. Select any appropriate combination of instruments and tempo.
6. Generate.
7. Listen to the results . . .
8. MIDI AOK
9. Real Drums AOK
10. Real Instruments - still playing to beat the band, oblivious to the chord instructions.

Looks like a bug to me.

HOLD is not implemented for RealTracks on either program.

Yeah, good point. BIAB handles it like a shot. It's probably difficult for the program to make this happen, sustain a real track, unless they are already recorded that way, which I doubt.

My conclusions - it's a real bug that needs to be fixed.
When my BIAB arrangements are imported and played in Real Band, the chord instructions are ignored, except for the drums.
This results is goofy playback.
Editing is unthinkable - way too much work!
Worse - it makes it impossible to add new real tracks with proper results.

How do we get PG Music's attention and some confirmation about whether they intend fix to these things?
We discuss it here.
We may agree and/or disagree, but is it dust in the wind?

Shots seem to work with RealTracks the one time I have tried it. I may have had to regenerate a couple of times to get everything to stop OK (and I guess they may be tracks that don't work). But on Walking Never Bothered Me at 1:45 that is a shot with RT acoustic guitar, pedal steel, drums, bass and midi piano all respecting the "shot" command.

Did this problem ever get resolved. Cause I just tried generating a drum and bass RT and sure enough the drums stopped on cue but the bass continues as though nothing is wrong.

How do I get the other real tracks to stop on a rest or shot?

Maybe you invoked the Rest *after* generating the bass track?

Regenerate the Bass Track after invoking the Rest.

Maybe a dumb question, but what is a "shot"?

When all instruments involved play the chord as a single stab of short duration.

I thought is was a small drink in a little glass that when repeated can cause memory loss!

Yeah I know that one too, but I did not think of that. It is not a very musical term that way. Although... People start singing like cats if they had enough of those.
