Super Midi track and MultiRiff??

Can this be done? When I try it says "Can't Generate Midi Track on a BB Midi Track."

Nevermind, I opened RB (newest version) just to experiment with Multiriffs and it froze when I tried to save. How do you guys work in this program?? (that is a rhetorical question).

I am going to take this question over the BIAB forum.

BB tracks are (well) BB tracks. Try 'Edit-Tracks-Make all BB tracks regular tracks' in RB.
Then you should have normal control over BB tracks (the ones with a formerly blue font).

OK Rhav, lets try again. Actually my New Years Resolution is to work more in RB specifically to utilize the MultiRiffs feature.

In this case I have a Super Midi Track which I what to see\hear each of the multiple options that Multiriffs can provide. Bear with me I used to know how to do some of this stuff in RB but that was long ago.

1) I follow your advice and convert all BB tracks to regular tracks (blue font to black font).
2) I select the Super midi track and "generate - multiriffs" but this yields "Can't generate a real track or midi track which has data?"

Now what?

Highlight the bars you want to change then go to the generate button, at the bottom of menu you will see generate selected section, you can then copy that new section to another track then do the same again till you get something you like.

Yeah, try Pipeline's suggestion.
Here I use 'MultiRiff' with Realtracks much more than Super MIDI tracks.
They work great for this, which I think was the intended use.

Sorry I can't be more help Dan, and thanks Pipeline.

I think the RealCharts for keys are the actual midi recordings that are recorded at the same time on that Yamaha piano as the audio track, so you should be able to use MultiRiffs if you have RealCharts enabled if you want keys.

OK, I can successfully regenerate a super midi track but it is an awkward workflow indeed.

The MultiRiffs function which was so sweet for regenerating RTs, does not work for me on SMTs. Instead I have to copy and paste a new track each time I regenerate.

Maybe workable, but don't need RB to do this since I can regen, copy and paste directly from BIAB to my DAW.... will give this some more time to sink in. Can anyone use Multiriffs on a SMT?
