Hi all,

this seems to be different than biab. How do I simply
copy a selection of bars to a new, blank section?

{ keeping the same style as the bars have}

thanks

Have you tried using the Bars window?

This usually works well for complete bars.

No,

just checked out that window. Looks like greek
to me!

I imported this project from biab. I'm used to
just insert bars, copy paste in biab.

Is there a way to send it BACK to biab to change
bars, and chords? then return?

Maybe try the Chords window, it may look more familiar.
When you copy/paste make sure the Chords checkbox is enabled.

RB is different than BiaB in that it only regenerates given tracks(s) when you tell it to, not on every playback. So it is a different workflow. Hard to tell where your problem is originating so far.
After you change the chords you have to tell RB to regenerate the tracks.
If the track names are blue, then they are BB tracks and can be regenerated as a group.
If the track names are black you'll need to select any desired tracks before regenerating. They are different in that BiaB regenerates the tracks all the time, but RB makes you explicitly cause this to happen, so you don't inadvertently overwrite something you wanted (acting more like a DAW than auto-accompaniment)

As far as 'sending it back' to BiaB, yes you can save the RB file as a BiaB file (SGU or MGU format/extension) and open that in BiaB, but you may be better just opening an earlier version in BiaB and getting the Chords right there first, if you are used to that.

I struggle to get BiaB to do what I want so I usually move to RB quickly, but for many users the reverse works better for them.
