I don't expect you to rerecord all the RealTracks and RealDrums. But having 24- or 32-bit audio for the basic recording, at least as an option, would definitely keep you up with the Joneses, etc.

Yes, I know it's probably an engine rewrite. No, I don't expect it anytime soon. But I thought I'd mention it.

Realband already has 24-bit option, stops at 24/96, Preferences->Audio->Filetype

Same engine as Powertracks.

So the RealTracks will be in 16, as will the RealDrums, and maybe more than likely your MIDI synth, but anything you record to audio will be in the higher bit depth and rate if your soundcard can do it. For the 16 bit stuff, just a buncha zeros in front is all, won't sound any better.
