Ideally, it would be great if RealBand (and by extension PowerTracks) supported multiple files open at the same time (as do many DAW's). In addition to being able to work on multiple projects concurrently, it would also allow for a separate area "sandbox", if you will, that you can play with generating/regenerating/changing chord progressions, trying out different RTs/RDs and MIDI data, etc, even over just a few bars, that could easily be copy/pasted into your main song.
You could try out new things without affecting the main song until you are ready, and then apply those changes without opening/closing or even moving between multiple applications (such as back and forth between BIAB and RealBand).
It would allow doing some A/B comparison between two songs you are working.
Or just letting you work multiple songs at the same time.
And a tabbed interface for each song would be awesome - one click away from each song.
