My old "Record Producer" (Voyetra/Turtle Beach) had a handy feature when working with digital audio. If you wanted to "move" a section of the wave, you just highlight it, then hold the Ctrl key and drag the highlighted section to a new location. Down and dirty. No popup windows, just grab and go.

Sure wish you could do that with RB!

To avoid the popup you can use Ctrl+Shift to move
or Ctrl+Alt to copy

Pipeline:

The "move" that I want to do is along the same timeline.
When I just need to "slide" a note or a bar just a bit along the timeline, on the same track, I'd like to just "grab and go".

Thanks for the tip!

LLoyd, you can do this in RB. Try it.
Hold ctrl, grab a highlighted section and drag it.

RB does have a popup, but Pipeline explained how to avoid it.

OK guys, you're absolutely right.
Is there a way for me to nuke this post off of the Wishlist
or does it have to be done by a moderator?

If it could slide like this so you can SEE what you are doing would be good.
