It would be great if BIAB and RB could not only transcribe in standard notation and guitar tab but also have the correct fingerings. This would be possible because the MIDI guitar pickup can be used in MONO instead of POLY. MONO gives a separate MIDI channel to each pickup under each guitar string. The software would then interpret the correct fingerings because it could distinguish each string separately.

They already can do that.

It is called "Multichannel" guitar mode.

In the Set window from Guitar fretview.

Default assigns the 6 separate strings to MIDI channels 11 thru 16.
