Now you can purchase jBridge for the special price of only $10. Adding this to your setup will allow 64-bit VST plugins and VSTi instruments to work with Band-in-a-Box® 2016 for Mac!
It's seamless.... with jBridge installed, you just use your plugins as you normally would (by selecting 32-bit or 64-bit plugins within the program.)

I'm not sure if my system version actually needs this...?

I hope this jBridge notification is just a very short term workaround ?

The real issue that really needs to be addressed is : When is BIAB going to be 64 bit ?

.., the 32 bit format is from beyond the stone age crazy

From the JBridge web site:

"This software works in Mac OS X 10.6 to Mac OS X 10.10 only currently. Support for OS X El Capitan (10.11) is being implemented"

:-(

.., and el capitan has been out for how long already .., now we have Sierra shocked

My IK Multimedia 'MIDI Stealth Pedal" CC Controller (that I use for wah-wah inside of Amplitube or as an expression pedal for other V.I's) This Stealth Pedal is also still stuck on Yosemite compatability with no El capitan support as of now (let alone Sierra)
This is just one of the reasons why I am not updating yet beyond Yosemite to SIERRA...., just yet anyway .

The Moral of the Story is ..., Be very careful guys before doing any operating system upgrades ........, (Windows or MAC)
To first ensure everything you plan to use has been declared compliment for that new operating system.
Make Sure before upgrading .., To compile a checklist of everything you use - and then search those manufactures websites .
Info should have been added to reflect the status of compatability ..., if not - just hit up their tech support and ask (nicely) .

...., also, don't get sucked into believing something 100 % works error free, 'based on' random comments you read from users on a forum etc (ie; wait until the actual manufacturers declare alls good to go) ..., because everyones systems are different, and what you have installed on it , monitor, drivers etc will all react differently.

Also note from random forum comments that you can bet that not everyone has tweaked every known available parameter and explored in depth every function before they even declare it works.

EG : two weeks ago, I watched a You tube video of a guy who made bold claims declaring his DAW is working 100% on Sierra (this is while the developers of that daw were saying do not update to sierra yet)
.., and so he films himself opening the DAW for the first time after installing Sierra
- next the Daw opens
- next he pushes play on his DAW
..., then 3 seconds into his song without doing any editing or anything , he beats his chest and declares "Yep it's working"
.., oh man, a real gorilla could have performed a better test than that - thats a bug fest waiting to happen .

SIERRA COMPATABILITY LINKS : Here is a couple of discussions links to help on the subject ..., remember these links are only a guide, the final OK should be declared on the developers websites themselves .

If 32 bit is from "beyond the stone age", then Pascal programming has to be practically Neanderthal, and yet...!

So... I wouldn't hold my breath wink

JBridge is useful for running VST32 in 64Bit DAW's so when the BB64 is released soon you can still use it with VST32.
As for Mac updates it's never ending all the cats all the mountains all the apps that don't work anymore, I'm still on 10.9 it works fine I just use Sierra wallpaper smile I don't think you get those problems with Win, XP apps still work on 10.

Quite !

I just wish PG would sell BIAB to Yamaha. Whereon the source base gets handed over to Steinberg and with the extra cash resources they do a decent rewrite and repurpose of he whole thing.

Imagine if we had a cross-connection between BIAB arrangements and Cubase and MOTIF workstations and Yamaha hardware Arrangers ?? !!

With SSD space becoming cheaper such things need not be dreams.
