I am a newbie to biab and I have no idea to add a rest into a measure. Can someone please help?

C. Rest
C.. Shot
C... Hold
they will rest shoot hold till the next chord is added.
C.d Rest all but Drums
C.d C.db will Rest all but Drums then bring bass in with the Drum at the next chord.
C... C.b will play a hold on all instruments then bring the bass in on the next chord.

d for Drums

p for Piano

g for Guitar

s for Strings
