Manual says "TAB" or "Enter" key to enter the Lyrics.

However, "Enter" works fine but "TAB" only on second attempt of same note based lyric (ie you have to "Shift TAB" back and then it works the 2nd time around) - This was the same in MAC 2017.

Others might like to try to make sure it's just not my Mac.

I'm finding that if I hit Tab instead of Enter, the cursor moves to the next note, but for every second note, no lyric is entered. Are you getting the same result?

Yes, but if you immediatley “SHIFT+ TAB” back to the original note (1st note - unsuccessful entry ) you can then type the Lyric and press TAB and it stores the lyric correctly and moves on to the next note.
You then have to repeat that process (unless you enter the lyrics by using ENTER)
