A while ago I was on the forum asking for a program where it was possible to write "the dots" from some old song that I have, and learn the tune when I played the notes back with the program.
Well this is what I found, and it was exactly what I needed.

It is a free online program called "noteflight"

Didn't look too bad for basic stuff. Good find.
The price is right. However, I don't see where it imports MIDI files. That would be deal breaker for me.
Why not try Finale Notepad for free? Imports midi.

Finale Notepad isn't free anymore. It use to be, but it's $9.95 now. Of course, there is a 30-day trial for free, but after that you have to pay.
Maybe you dont look close enough flatfoot.
I havent tried it, but noteflight write that it is possible to import midifiles into the noteflight program.

Really? I did not see that. Will look again.

It looks like the creators of the program in question are focusing on sharing notation over the Internet. Not something I am interested in.

I asked a question about a notation program called "Noteworthy" on this forum. Some here praised it highly. I bought it and I like it a lot.

Noteworthy costs 50US and you find it on the web. Well worth it.
