This time, I take my new ZOOM Q3 to record myself.
I play autoharp and I choosed some country styles, included in the last full package edition of BIAB 2010 for Mac.

On the video page of http://www.myspace.com/dpquintet
you can see 8 clips today.

The sound is recorded with Q3 mic, to mix autoharp and the Genelec speakers connected to MOTU audio card.

Of course I play most often mandolin and guitar, many jazz tunes, .... but this time I switched to country arrangements,
and I don't play autoharp like folk specialists usually do. I am not sure if it is nice ?

The most difficult problem is to get the right balance between instrument near my ear and the "band" at 2 meters from me.
And I don't use earphones to adjust the volumes. Sometimes I play to soft, sometimes too loud , So if you know some tricks ....
Thanks
Claude

Hi CloClo,

I really enjoyed listening to your songs. At the moment, I'm listening to "Ain't Misbehaving". I have never heard an autoharp sound like this before. It's a very pleasant sound

All the best,
Noel

Hi Noel

On the Music layers, it is only audio MP3 files recorded inside my iMac.
If I remember, first 3 are played on mandolin, and the remaining tunes were recorded
on my old Martin in braz. rosewood. it is the case of Ain't Misbehavin.
Theme itself was written by Dale Miller 30 years ago, and the variation is by myself.

I prepare new arrangements for the guitar, and I shall try to make a better acoustic sound.

You need to activate the video page to see and listen autoharp:

in short audio is more jazzy, video more country
