DNS Name Changer malware activated on Monday, July 8 - 07/05/12 12:30 PM
Some of you may already know about the DNS Name Changer. If not, following is a link to a purely technical article on foxnews.com. In short, DNSNC is a bit of nastyware which, if present on your computer, will prevent access to the internet on or after 12:01 a.m. EDT on Monday, July 8.
Even if you do I recommend that you read this article. Toward the end there is a link (not clickable) to an FBI-hosted page of resources and further links to tell you whether you are infected and how to clean your PC if you are. It's a simple go-no go test which takes seconds. Best to be prepared and take action now.
