Anybody have any experience with choir or vocals add-ons for SampleTank? Would like to find a way to add backing vocals (oohhs, aahs, ooos etc) without the need to buy a full blown version of Kontakt.

Mountainside,

I haven't yet used them but I recently bought a set of vocals from eSoundz.com for Sampletank. The package was on sale at $10. It seems that this collection of sounds is still on sale for $10. (Follow this link)

Noel

Thanks Noel, I'll check this out. Appreciate the link.

Just as a follow-up...I did take a look at these...for my purpose, sounds great...hey for $10 how can you go wrong.

Thanks for the heads-up Noel.

I took a song working on with ACguitar in OMNISYNTH GM samples.

no FX at all only BIAB wav render using ST and Audacity to cut down the length.
I was even amazed at the quality.

A lot of the other OMNISYNTH GM voices also sound excellent. This was also $10.

Good Luck!

I use the chorales in ST on midi for ohhs and hash. My favorite is the beach boys sample

Hey Noel, can you help me understand how this works with BIAB? or would I use these in my DAW? if I add these samples to my song is there a way to adjust pitch or do the samples come in different keys? Thanks!!

oh, and is this the specific collection you were recommending?

Hi John,

This can be done in BIAB although I tend to favour using my DAW. What I tend to do is to enter the notes I want the sound to play on the track that I want the sound on. I then load SampleTank soft synth on that track and open the selected sound in the appropriate midi channel. SampleTank will adjust the pitch of the sound using the midi notes entered.

Noel
