Windows update has been trying to invade my windows 7 and 8.1 machines and so far have failed. I know for sure windows 10 does not work with Steinberg ur22, I am assuming other plug ins too. Please check with all your plug ins etc. before making the switch, I know I won't!!!

If that little icon at the lower right is bothering you, visit this link and it will remove the icon.

It is nothing more than a Windows update and you can remove the update and get rid of the icon. Just don't allow that update again.

Man.... everybody BREATH!! Nobody is "invading". They are offering a free version of their new OS. You don't have to take it. For the record, I will wait 1 year to upgrade like I always do.

I have no intention of doing the the free upgrade so I'll just wait until it's necessary as my Win7 system is working fine.

In case it helps others decide....I did the 'Permanent Fix' from the link that was was suggested above by going to control panel and right click/uninstall the Update for Microsoft Windows KB3035583.

After the necessary reboot the computer did go through the (3) stage check disc process but all went fine and the icon in the systray is gone.

Carry on....

Win 10 is working great for me. No issues with BIAB or other apps. Only issue I had was with Malware Anti Exploit. After I installed it I couldn't open IE. After un-installing MAE everything work as it should again. Ray

Critter, why did you start a new thread? There's already a big discussion about this here:

Mods, how about a sticky to consolidate all Win 10 threads into one?
