Hi all,

Some time ago I was checking out Jamkazam tracks for playing along with pop tunes. I'm pretty sure they aren't legal for performance, but for practing along with the original (if your OCD like me and like to hear parts as true to the original as possible) - they seemed very good.

Can anyone familiar with JamKazam 'backing tracks' share whether:
1.) the Jamkazam tracks are a good deal to stock up on while $2

2.) there are any other comparable companies that sell equally high quality backing tracks ?

Thanks in advance,
Joe V.

PS - they give you the first track for free if you create an account - here's the list of tracks they offer and all can be previwed on the link above:

Unless you're just interested in having individual tracks, here's a site where you can get free backing tracks.....

Thanks for sharing Kajun - that's a great site.
I was always big fan of http://www.karaoke-version.com/

But these prior sites (which I never had seen before) do look very interesting...
Joe,

Maybe I'm being thick, but if your purpose is just for practicing along, why not just use the original songs? You can get them for .99 on iTunes of Amazon. Or just play along with YouTube videos.

I'm just curious.

I can't speak to that, Rockstar. laugh

I actually don't use the site or the songs. I was just offering the link to Joe. After reading his post I thought I'd check online to see if I could find something he might be interested in or could use. Just trying to be helpful to a fellow PG'er.

Kajun Jeaux
Jeaux, I was referring to Joe V, the OP for the thread, not you with the frenchified spelling.
Hi Rockstar,

Fair enough question. I really enjoy understanding the arrangement and what all the instruments are doing separately - and I can't hear well through the typical mix.

I also like to omit the guitar, the vocals, or both, and play along : )

That makes sense if they are done accurately.
I've spent an entire enjoyable evening listening to all your songs and I'm still in awe of 'Cerulean Sky'. It's my favorite.
