I'm very tempted to get RealGuitar. I tried a demo three or four years ago and it was brilliant.

The demos sound remarkable and if it reads BIAB chords, that’s great.

Has anyone tried this for acoustic jazz guitar?

It said there are 30 chord types including 6/9 and altered chords, but does anyone have a complete list?

Thanks.

RapidComposer will allow RealGuitar to play the patterns over any chords.
You can render the the RealGuitar patterns to midi,
drag into RapidComposer, set RealGuitar to midi and it will play the midi over any chords.

RapidComposer has 4 chord input options now.

Pipeline, thanks

I like the Silk sound at at VG - it could maybe be used as a suitable archtop (jazz) substitution and I know it would make fairly OK Gypsy jazz sound (not 100% ideal but pretty good, I use one sometimes instead of my D-hole) but I'd like to one of these company's offer real archtops (strung with half-rounds or full rounds)

e.g. Gibson L5, Benedetto , D'Angelico, Gretsch, Eastman. etc.

I'd also like to see a good silk over steel stringed Gypsy jazz guitar (any good Selmer-Maccaferri copy) but I know that is probably too niche a market

Thanks. I don't look around very hard, or usually at all, becasue I tend to just use the real thing, me. However, having some good VSTi's for the "assist" is always nice to have.

I have the UVI Gypsy Jazz - it's OK - but more of a disappointment in terms of JUST a single/solo guitar(s)

I might try the GJ of the Impact Soundworks. It is very, very authentic sounding ("Is it real or is it Memorex" wink ) Although, I'd like to get away from having to use Kontakt, I much prefer standalone plugs - like the previous two.

Thanks Again

Larry
