Craig Anderton announced on the Cakewalk forum he is no longer with Gibson.

Well, that's a punch in the gut. I wonder if that signals that Gibson is not quite so committed to supporting Cakewalk or that Craig is just sick of working 9 - 5.

The post and responses are up to five pages now. In a follow up Craig indicated it was Gibson's choice, not his. Also he doesn't know how this will affect the Harmony Central forum which is also owned by Gibson.

It did come as a surprise. From what Craig has always said, he did not work for Cakewalk. His position always seemed tenuous to me, because he had inside knowledge and considerable pull, yet did not work there. Cakewalk was formerly owned by Roland, then Gibson bought them, and Craig worked for Gibson.

He did say he is still a user and supporter of Cakewalk (SONAR). He also said people should go to his own website.
