Does anyone have any recommendations for a screen recorder for PC. It's something I would prefer not to have to buy; as I only need it for this 1 time. It doesn't have to be fancy, just stable and working.
Thanks all!
Do some searches for Bandicam or Fraps. Most free ones have some sort of thing like a time limit or a watermark on your video.
I used Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 for all the screen capture in the hour-long video I did - to capture BIAB screens/action and Studio One screens/action. It's free.

Windows 7 and above includes a file called "psr.exe" which stands for "problem step recorder"
Windows 7 introduced the Problem Steps Recorder, a screen-capture tool that allows the end-user to record the problems they’re having step-by-step. Although it is intended for problem solving there is no reason not to use it any time screen capture is needed.
Type psr in start search and hit Enter to start the Problem Steps Recorder.
Click the Start Record button and continue the steps to reproduce the problem/error. Add comments by clicking the Add Comment button.
Once done, click the Stop Record button. An HTML-based file is converted to a .ZIP folder. Give the file a name and save the file.
Here's one Deaconblues09 recommended to me recently. You can see it in use in his ACW Tempo post tutorial elsewhere here on the forum.
Flashback Recorder
Awesome. Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I knew you all would be the ones to ask. You're the best!
I use BB Flashback ... love it!

I use OBS studio... it's free and awesome!
I previously used a paid screen capture program whose name everybody would recognize. For my needs, OBS works better. It can also be used in other ways.
