Is the showcase forum only for original tunes? Or is it allowed to post different arrangements of covers?

Thanks

"..The songs must be originals, no copyrighted or "cover" songs. You must have all of the rights to the songs."

Hi Dennis,

Just to add to Dan's post ...

Depending on how you're set up, you could post arrangements of copyrighted material if you have paid to do this. Aleck Rand has subscribed to a new system through ASCAP (I think) and it allows him to arrange copyrighted works and to post links to those arrangements stored on his website. You could check this out with him if you wanted to find out a little more.

It's also possible to use public domain works and to create arrangements of those. For example, if you did an arrangement of Greensleeves and posted a link to that arrangement there'd be no problem because you are not infringing copyright.

I'm looking forward to hearing your work!
Noel
