Thought it was Jim Reeves at first. It certainly sounds like a classic from that era. You've got the vibe exactly right and there's some beautiful guitar work in there.

Now I know who to call for some live steel work should I have a song that demands it.

I have a tiny little preset for my cakewalk ParaQ eq called "Piano brightener" that I often pop into the piano track. BB & RB pianos are a bit rounded off and dull sounding straight out of the "box" and sound like they are under a blanket. This little preset cuts the bottom and boosts the highs and the mids a bit to brighten them. I'd throw something like that on that solo piano because the steel is bright and the piano when it comes in is not quite as bright.... it needs to be slightly brighter to keep the same energy level.

Wow, this couldn't have come at a better time. Janice and I have been in a "tears in your beer" listening mode lately --revisiting a lot of the classics, George and Tammy, Vince and Patty, Conway and Loretta, etc. And, buddy, this one fits right in the mold.
