Guenter,
Another amazing transformation.
Excellent mix to the remix! Again putting the original vocal in a better place..
Quite an interesting combination of tracks - and you make them sound like they were meant to go together. Getting the guitar solo right must have taken considerable work.
Well done.

Hi Guenter,
You're doing an incredible job with these remixes. You give the song a whole new feel. To me the voice is pretty deep in the mix. The samba combined with electric guitar solo is superb. I wonder however if a jury is ready for this less commercial style. You're having fun with it, and here on the forum I'm sure many with you.

Fred
Hi Guenter,
Well, this samba turns the song into a completely different one!
The original didn't make us feel like dreaming (reverie) and is not exactly our cup of tea either, but your remix makes things better
!
Hope the jury thinks the same.
Rob and Anne-Marie
Hi Floyd,
thanks a lot for your positive comments.
"Getting the guitar solo right must have taken considerable work."
It was less than usual. Two third were in the right place by accident.
Guenter
hi Boehm amazing job on all songs your a very talented person what can I say but awesome work thanks eric
An amazing job. Your version sounds as if the vocals actually were meant to go with the music. The original failed in that aspect for me. Having Concordia in the name should have been a clue the original was a sinking ship.....
Charlie
Excellent tune. Well done
Hi Fred,
thanks for your nice comments.

I don't care about this at all because
You're having fun with it, and here on the forum I'm sure many with you.
I hope that there are some others who see it that way.
Guenter
Hi Guenter,
I may be in the minority here because I actually like the original version quite a bit. There's a reason why they call it Electronic Dance Music, the beat is contagious and its very hard not to move to the music.
Having said that, I like your version MUCH better than the original. The SAMBA tracks are probably the closest thing in a traditional genre to elicit the same physical response that EDM brings to the equation.
As previously stated by several people, you did a much better job of putting the vocals out front.. and the singer has such an interesting voice, it would be a shame to let them get lost in the mix.. even to a very small degree.
At first listen, I didn't relate to the guitar solos in the context of the song... but the more I listened, it was the energy in the playing that tied it to the rest of the song. In fact, if I had to summarize in one word what I like about this song, the word would be ENERGY!... and you did an AMAZING job of capturing the energy of the original piece, then recreating it all over again as a Samba! VERY cool!
The ending seemed kind of abrupt to me. I'd have liked either a longer fade out or an abrupt stop at the end of the last guitar note. But that's an artistic creative control call, and therefore isn't really subject to true criticism. I mention it only as a point of personal preference.
Guenter, these remixes are working well for you! I hope you win one or more of them. This one is particularly good, and I can see it catching the ear of whoever judges the contest! Please keep us posted
Guenter, you are the remix master!! I nearly always enjoy yours more than the originals. No exception here! Really loved it! Take care. Greg
Hi Rob and Anne-Marie,
thanks a lot for listening and your
kind comments.
Guenter
Brilliant! We're amazed at how you
were able to envision a Samba vibe
for the vocal. And then to have it
work like this. Wow. If the judges
don't like this they have tin ears!
Cool to the max.
J&B
Guenter,
I am digging on your remix talents, friend... you have a gift for this kind of artistry! Having said that, I agree with Pat that the ending seemed kind of abrupt. A fade out in this case would have, IMHO, worked much better.
Regards,
David
Hi Eric, Charly and Scott,
thanks a lot for listening
and your kind comments.
Guenter
Hi Pat,
thanks a lot. I love your reviews.
"The ending seemed kind of abrupt to me."
Yes, you're right. I wasn't 100% convinced, either. But there was not enough material for a correct fade out. And as the dead line was arriving I just left it as it was.
I can live with it.
Guenter

Guenter
yeah, the original version ended the same way! You inherited it!
Guenter,
I was just wondering if it could have been possible for you to make either a mix or a submix of your music that didn't have vocals on it then copied that part of the song and pasted it two or three times to the end and then do your fade out over the end? If I remember the track correctly, I think something similar could be done in Audition but you would have to have a stereo mix first.
Of course, if the remix has to be the same length as the original, you couldn't do it that way.
BR,
David
Guenter,
The start woke me up!!!!
You are extremely talented to do this, you took the vocal to a very good place.
How do you do it?!?
The number of plays says it all!
excellent
Alyn
Well, I nearly jumped straight out of my skin when the original started playing! My heart is still beating ten to the dozen. I love your samba version and I do hope those judges know real talent when they hear it

Amen sistah!!

Thanks a lot for the honour.
Guenter
Guenter, This is another example of your mastery of the remix. The only nit I have is the vocal could be brought up a notch. Great listen as always. Tom
I like those remix contest as well; been a while since I did one, but you are doing some great stuff; thanks for sharing!
Hi Janice & Bud,
thanks for your kind words.
"If the judges don't like this they have tin ears!"
One of them posted on SC "I love Samba", but I still didn't win. No problem, I had expected that.
Guenter
Hi David,
thanks for listening and your kind review.
I agree with Pat that the ending seemed kind of abrupt.
See my answer to Pat.

I mix in Reaper and there I could have done some copying without doing a mix first. But as already said there wasn't enough time.
Guenter
Hi Alyn,
thanks for your nice comments.
"How do you do it?!?"
I don't know, I just do it.
Guenter
Hi Joanne,
thanks for your nice comments.
Guenter
Hi Tommy,
thanks a lot for listening and commenting.
The only nit I have is the vocal could be brought up a notch.
I don't think so.
Guenter
Guenter,
I really like the feel of this - excellent selection of RTs and mix!
Bob
Hi Robert,
thanks for listening and your kind comments.
Guenter
Hi Bob,
thanks a lot.
I'm glad you liked it.
Guenter
Spot on! and you did an awesome job with the guitar solo mix into the Samba!
much enjoyed!
Hi Lawrence,
thanks a lot for listening and the compliments.
Guenter
Very high energy and wonderful percussion. Enjoying hearing what you're doing with your new remix passion.
Josie
Yep - I enjoyed the remix!
Keep it up, it's cool to see what you're doing to these songs.
Hi Josie,
thanks for your nice comments.
Yes, it is a new passion. And it can lead to addiction.
I already have a new one ready for launch.
Guenter
Hi David,
I'm glad that you liked it. Thanks.
I'll do.
