Guilty Hi all,

Added a kick drum track for better groove.

Wow! the first thing that struck me was the blues
guitar. How the heck did you ever come up with
the idea of mixing it with Latin RT's? I would never
have thought it would have worked. But it did --
oh did it ever!
For this groove the extra kick was a cool addition.
The whole melding of these RT's into such
precision and coherence defies my imagination.
All we can say is that it was a great listen. And
having a little insight about what effort must have
gone into it we are even more impressed. I've
got to pass this along to some musical friends.
A couple of our friends teach spin classes at
a gym AND they love music. What a great song
this would be for them.
You did it again!!
J&B
hi guenter!
cool and catchy – hypnotic!
and the blues-leadguitar as mentioned above…
…really enjoyed it! :-)
Hello Günter,
The latin/gypsy version is "rousing", I love this kind of rhytmics, very close to Santana's music
Your solo on synth is interesting.
Congratulations to Aria for her voice
That's another mix well done Guenter!
Rob & Anne-Marie
Wonderful re-mix. Well done.
Charlie
Hi Janice & Bud,
thanks a lot for listening and your
kind review.
Guenter
Hi Einar,
thank you very much for listening
and your nice comments.
Guenter
Hi Pradon,
thanks for listening and
your nice comments.
As you mentioned in another post, yes, we are neighbours.
But where on earth did you get the dots
above the "u". Have you got a German keyboard?
Günter
Hi Rob & Anne-Marie,
thanks a lot.
Guenter
Hi Günter,
You're welcome !
Concerning the dots on the U, I've got a french azerty keyboard, with ¨ ! In french sometimes you can use these double dots,
Have a good evening
Another wonderful job!! I listened to fragments of several others before yours. Yours is so much more musical and creative. YOU are the remix master!! Take care. Greg
Hi Guenter, great re-mix as usual.
Mike B.
Hi Guenter.
I always look forward to hearing your interpretation of these remix songs. I enjoy comparing what you have done with what the others have done and I have to say yours are so much more original and listenable. Enjoyed YOUR VERSION very very much.
Hi Charlie, Greg And Mike,
thanks a lot for listening and
your nice comments.
Guenter
Guenter,
Latin and blues guitar, that made me listen!
WOW you sure are good at remixing.
The ending is wonderful
great listen
Alyn
Guenter,
Really nice work here! Great job of arranging/mixing/production! I always enjoy your work. This is no exception!
Steve
Guenter, you never fail to impress, this is another great example.
Great vibe throughout, spot-on vocals. Really enjoyed this.
Trevor
Hi Joanne,
thanks. I'm glad you liked it.
Guenter
Hi Alyn,
thanks for listening and commenting.
Glad you liked the ending.
Guenter
Guenter, Another nice job by the remixmaster. The guitar and kick drum work really well. Good job. Tom
Hi Steve,
thanks for popping in and your nice comments.
Guenter
Hi Trevor,
thanks a lot for listening and
your kind review.
Guenter
Guenter,
I listened to all the others before listening to yours - knowing that I was saving the best for last...that has become a given.
Most of the others were predictable. Hard to tell one from the next. The Ada French one had some interesting stuff going on, but got a bit over-done after a while. Percept's was nice - good opening, but got a little repetitive by the end...
Your mix is inspired - as expected. Using the Latin drums yet keeping the EDM rhythm worked nicely. The lead guitar raises your work so far above the rest it's not even a competition... weaved in so seamlessly!! Nice synth lead, too.
And, as always, you put the vocal on the perfect pedestal.
You should win this one, too... but more importantly, you should be getting calls to do this day-in-and-day-out. You belong at the helm.
floyd
Hi Tommy,
thanks for listening and the kind words.
Guenter
Hi Guenter,
I still don't know what to say!
About a week ago, I listened to "Guilty", typed out an opening sentence, thought "Nope. Said that so many times before that it must be boring to Guenter!" Then I deleted the sentence. This happened about half a dozen times. So I didn't write anything.
Today I popped into the thread again, hoping that inspiration would shine as brightly as floodlights. Nope. I'm still struggling with how to bring freshness to what I type.
As I'm sitting thinking about why I'm in the doldrums, I realise that your creations have been so many and so consistently incredible for so long that I have no unused words left in my vocabulary. I guess that that means that it's your fault entirely. You are so outstandingly good at what you do that you've exhausted my supply of language.
I think it's time to ask Google Translate for some assistance. I've got my fingers crossed that this makes sense to you...
- Dieser Song ist unglaublich! Wenn es um Musik geht, sind Ihre Kreationen unvergleichliche auf diesem Forum. Du bist der Meister.
Also, in case you speak Japanese, and because Google Translate makes everything possible, here is another way of looking at what I've written above
- この曲は素晴らしいです!それが音楽に来るとき、あなたの作品は、このフォーラムに比類のないです。あなたがマスターです。
"Guilty" was such a great listen.
All the best,
Noel
Hi Floyd,
it's so kind of you to take the time to listen to
all the other contestants and compare with my
version.
Thanks a lot for your thorough kind review.
Guenter
Hi, Guenter !
I feel guilty of not having been
on the forum as often as I would
like to cheering ol´friends on !
I am sorry for that !
I love the mix, it´s just wonderful !
Cheers
Dani
Hi Noel,
it's so nice of you that you are struggling for "freshness" in your words. But that's not necessary. I'm happy when you just like what I do.
Yes, your German makes sense to me and I thank you a lot for your praise.
I'm sorry I don't speak Japanese, but Google helps.
Please don't crucify yourself next time. I am modest.
Guenter
Hi Dani,
no need for feeling guilty.
Thanks for cheering me up.
Guenter
Hi all,
the deadline was last Saturday. I was not among the six winners as the rules said: "All genres are allowed, but Drum & Bass, Broken Beat, Nu-Jazz, Downtempo, Chill, Soulful and Deep House are more likely to be selected."
But I got a mail from the record company:
"Big thanks for taking part in the competition. Brilliant work, it was a shame I had to limit it to 6 tracks for the remix package. Love your guitar work, if you're up for playing on one of our tracks in the future, we'll give you a shout when we've got something ready."
They don't know that PGMusic and Brent Mason did the job.
Thanks for that.
Guenter
Good one günter, I nearly missed this one. The kick was a tad loud for me, but there again I'm old fashioned and I like subtle rhythms.
Hi Chris,
thanks a lot for listening and commenting.
The kick had to be that way.
Guenter
Guenter,
Kudos on the kudos!
Well deserved.
Hi Floyd,
thanks for the congratulations.
Guenter
Nice. As J&B noted, perfect for the gym with that drive. I am glad Brent couldn't deliver. For me, The synth solo was a great addition to the mix.
Hi Patrick,
thanks a lot.
I'm glad you liked the synth solo.
