Hi Ron,

welcome to the showcase. Wonder why you haven't posted before, as you are a great guitarist. I especially liked your doubling the sax.
Enjoyable listen.

Thanks, Greg & Guenter! I'm glad you liked the tune.

Guenter, I hadn't been playing much in recent years until I retired about 10 months ago and I decided to get back into music again. Interesting that you noticed my doubling the sax . . . that was one of those spur of the moment ideas that I thought would be fun. A band that I played in for years had a great sax player and he and I would often trade solos and sometimes double each other.

Such an enjoyable listen.. The double with the sax is fantastic! I am brand new here but will definitely be listening for more. Thanks so much for sharing.

A nice play here, at times it sounds like the blues and others it has a country flavor, excellent work, thanks for sharing!

Ron,

Welcome to the Showcase.

Nice entrance. Cool picking. And a very interesting mix of styles of RTs. Pop bass, jazz drums, boogie sax, New Orleans piano? - sounds good.

An enjoyable listen.

Ron,

That is a very nice arrangement and a well balanced mix. It sounds like you know your way around a mixing board. I hope you'll post more songs soon.

Thanks again, everyone! Your comments are much appreciated.

By the way, in my original post I mentioned using a RealTrack bass, but as I went back and opened my Logic Pro file I realized that I actually played the bass part on my Fender Precision Bass.

Hi Ron,

This is fantastic! It's a great listen and certainly makes a fellow feel terrific! I also had a listen to Stay Awhile on Soundcloud. It's beautiful.

All the best,
Noel

Thanks so much, Noel, you really made my day! I had to think twice before uploading Stay Awhile because I'm not a very good vocalist so I'm flattered that a more talented singer such as yourself would be able to appreciate the song.
