This song was recorded in my home studio in 2002, long time before RealTracks and Super Miidi Tracks. It was recorded as a birthday gift for my wife. I have simply forgotten which style I used, but the sax and flute was played by me and the guitar solo was played by my friend Ryan. It'a sort of smooth jazz with a moody reggae feeling.

Hi Peter,

I can't remember having seen you here before.
So welcome to the Showcase.
Very nice first post. Great sax, flute and guitar.
Where does the electric piano come from ?
Very melodic and relaxing.
I enjoyed my listen a lot.

Welcome to the Showcase...

A very pleasant listen. As Guenter said, the sax, flute and guitar are all quite nice.

Enjoyed it.

Hi Lindbjerg,
nice listening, I like the solo guitar very much, it remembers me the sonority of Pat Metheny in some way.

May I ask which effects/gears did you use for the guitar ?

Take care,
Sergio

Welcome to the forums ... or welcome back, whichever is appropriate.

Loved our listen ... big fans of Smooth Jazz, Nu-Jazz and Modern Jazz,

Nice arrangement and production! Pretty cool song. And yeah, the guitar reminds me of some Pat Matheny in early 2000's. Very enjoyable! Wishing you the very best ...

Thanks for the kind welcome.
I think the piano is a detuned piano from my old Roland Sound expansion.

The guitar was recorded through a Line 6 Pod.

Ohh, I recorded the song in 2002, so I don't remember. Sorry smile

hello,

great song very melodic and great sax part.
I'd like to hear a version with a trumpet solo instead of sax.
Congratulations.

I only play the saxophone (and flute & guitar). So a trumpetsolo had to be a RealTrack, which was non existing in 2002. I don't have any friend playing the trumpet. I wish I still had the original files so I could do a better mix and mastering.

ind regards

Very pretty music Peder!! All of the instruments sound great. Sax and flute are silky smooth, and guitar part is also excellent. Great track in every sense!! Take care. Greg

Nice playing, Peder. Some smooth blowing, to be sure.

It's always a treat to listen to another sax player. Loved the flute, too.

Thanks for the music,
Dan

I couldn't have said it any better.

You should be very proud of this one because although it is 13 years old it still sounds fresh1

Great sax and flute playing BTW.

Stick around:)

Hi Peder,

This composition is really beautiful. Musicianship shines throughout. Your sax and flute playing are outstanding, Ryan's guitar work is just great and the whole track is mixed with pizzazz. Music at its best!

I enjoyed sitting here at my computer, eyes closed, listening.

All the best,
Noel

P.S. Thank you for taking time to listen to "Just A Little After Midnight". I appreciate it a great deal.

Hello Peder,

This is very well done.
A pity you don't remember exactly how it was created (BiaB-wise).
The saxophone is very smooth and soothing.

I have looked through all relevant MIDI styles and I'm shure it is Tekreagae.sty I have used as a fundament for this song. Thanks for alle the positive respons. I never believed that I would get so many "likes", but BIAB people are a freindly lot.
Best regards
