Meet you all in Loveland!

LOVELAND
I’m taking a trip to Loveland
A place far away from here
They say kisses there, have a certain savoir-faire
and laughter fills the air.

I got myself ticket to Loveland
Where meadows of lilacs are always in bloom
I’m on my way to Loveland
I hope to see you there real soon.

I’m taking a trip to Loveland
A place far that’s far, far away
Made a reservation, planning a great vacation
Maybe I’ll even stay.

I’m gonna wait for you in Loveland
So hurry, and don’t you delay
We’ll fall in love in Loveland
And have a Lover’s Holiday.
We’ll fall in love in Loveland
And have ourselves a Lover’s Holiday

Loveland sounds like a nice place! cool - give my regards to Broadway, while you're on the road wink

p.s. This tune & style is just begging for a mellow sax solo!

Carolyne, welcome back!
As usual, you master this musical style, exceptional in fact. I heard a bit of Manhattan Transfer in there somewhere. Top delivery, yet again...

What were the styles / tracks. The strings were really nice

Very nice and mellow in the good sense.
As Billie Holiday fans we fell right into
this groove.

Enjoyed it.

excellent,
cool mellow singing, I love the breathless, intimate quality to your vocals.

A friend has an acoustic-ish jazz quartet, him on his mini set of drums, an astounding female double bass player, who is dwarfed by her bass, a complete lunatic on piano and his latest girlfriend on vocals. You could guest for them and blow their socks off!!

really enjoyed

Thanks to all for listening. I am constantly amazed by the PG Music product, without which I would never be able to do what I do, at least not without a great deal more effort. This forum, along with its talented users, and the PG Music musicians is remarkable!

I actually thought about that, but decided not to have an instrumental solo. Having a sax working under my vocal would have been too much going on for my taste. You are right, Bossa Nova and sax are like peanut butter and jelly thanks to Stan Getz smile

I was excited to see you back with a new post. You didn't disappoint. So smooth and mellow. Thanks for posting and I enjoyed this a lot.

No matter what we throw at BIAB, everybody has their own unique taste for music and BIAB handles it with ease. The User Showcase is so much better than any radio station and offers the most variety found anywhere.

And I absolutely agree with you on that! What I meant was adding an extra 'part a' right after the first 'part b', with just the sax, never the two of you together. As the song barely clocks at 2 min. 45 sec. there was certainly room for it.
But that's a very small "personal taste" niggle and of course I loved the whole thing...as I always do with your music cool

Dear Ms. Carolyne:

"Loveland" is as mellow, as romantic, and as warm-feeling as a sunset viewed through a glass of chilled red wine. You sing your lyrics as though it was the first time you ever told anyone how you felt about being in love. It's just the sweetest thing I've heard in the bossa nova genre in this User's Forum.

You've won my musical heart with this one!

Most respectfully and sincerely,

LOREN

Hi Carolyne,

You've been one of my favorite female Jazz singers for quite some time. Love your style and wonderful voice. So nice to hear you again. Great song and arrangement. What a true delight!

I used to live in Denver, CO ... not far from that Loveland!

Wishing you the best and a Merry Christmas.

Alan
