Fanfare

Hi all,

thanks to Floyd's hint I found this remix contest:
https://soundcloud.com/newyorkbrass/fanfare
At the end of the contest all the remixes will be ranked based on listens on soundcloud.com.
So I need your plays on Soundcloud!!
They provided only a naked live brass fanfare, with no backing track. To make it a little more interesting I added 16 bars of chords of my own.
I used following RTs:
RealDrums-PraiseWorshipPowerPush^1-Qck,PHt
RealDrums-BossaRockPerc^1-Congas,Perc
RT1434_ Bass, Electric, JazzFunkPoppy Ev16 110
RT1436_ Guitar, Electric, Rhythm JazzFunkGroovi
RT1437_Piano, Electric, Rhythm JazzFunkGroovin Ev16 110
RT1686_ Guitar, Electric, Rhythm PopPromiseCrisp
RT2203_ Guitar, Electric, Soloist PopPromiseBrent
RT1069_Trumpet, Soloist SmoothJazzCool Sw16 100 (Bluesy)
I f you want to hear the other submissions you find them here: http://soundcloud.com/groups/newyorkbrass-remix-competition
I hope you enjoy.

All I can say is WOW what a great mix. Your additions to the foundation is super. IMHO this should win.

This is very good work, especially since there was no backing track to begin with.
Certainly shows your professionalism!

Everything fits and sounds great! Well put together with all the RT's you added and the percussion was an especially cool touch.

Guenter,
Thanks! Another world class delivery. Powerful and rich. The backing rhythm drives the melody beautifully, and the brass work gives all the punch necessary.

Enjoyed it from start to end.

Another killer from the remix master!! The energy is great. The rock guitar really blends well with the brass. It seems like a track that would be great to open an athletic event telecast. Awesome stuff!! Take care. Greg

BTW, I sampled a few others and the paled in comparison.

Guenter, I was thinking the same thing. Sporting event music! Sounds fantastic in the headphones. Great work again. Tom

So you did this starting with only the brass? And from only
that you built this? And added 16 bars? It would be impressive
if it only sounded good..but it sounds fantastic! Love that
solo guitar you put in there. Like Greg said it blends really
well with the brass.

If this was based on talent alone and not a count of plays
you would have already won. Best to you on it!

Here's what I put on SC: "Guenter - what you did with Ron King on trumpet is nothing short of masterful. Beautiful job, & good luck!"

I know that a solo that long and that good is never delivered in one take. There had to be a lot of clever copying, pasting and, above all, understanding involved. Ron is one of the hottest American trumpet players and, in my book, right at the top of the RealTracks artists. He held nothing back. No sign of him jealously guarding his ideas the way some others, whom I won't name, did. Eric Alexander and Eric Marienthal are top notch on reeds. Neil Swainson is the go-to bass man. Miles Black is as good as any pianist I've ever heard.

Guenter,

Amazing. Your usual spectacular work!

It seems an odd contest. I did not want to listen to the others to increase their count...

I will keep checking back to increase yours...
