Nice tune Robert!! This has a great groove. I always love the feel you capture and the poetic and somewhat abstract lyrics. Love the Wah-wah sound-I'll have to check that RT. Really good stuff!! Take care. Greg
Real good mix Robert. I like the instruments that you put together and I think that they blended well. The wah-wah took me back to the early sixties when I was in a band and it was being used a lot back then. Enjoyed listening.
Sonny
Thanks Greg - much appreciated.
For the wah sound, I'm actually running an RT through a wah simulator in GarageBand.
Bob
That wahwah is sweet! I like this song and the way you arranged it. Great vibe. I'm so happy to hear you on here again. Hope you get no ill effects from the weather there but I have to admit I'm really glad you got couped up inside so we got a cool new Bob song to enjoy!
GREAT SOUND Bob!
Love that wha wha guitar. Your vox and mix is super! I can hear Tom Petty singing lead on this with the Traveling Wilburys backing him up.
This is super!
Sonny, thanks so much!
Bob
Welcome back Robert.
Very nicely done!
Kinda reminds us of Dylan
Hi Bob
Loved the tune. Excellent vocal and lyric. Loved the wah effect as well
Hey Josie,
Thanks...
Always feels good to make some new music.
Bob
Mario, that's very nice of you - thanks!
Bob
Bob,
good to hear you again.
1st listen went too fast as I closed by eyes and got immersed in story.
nice wahwah!
This is your signature sound absolutely beautiful, so on my 3rd play
enjoyed a lot
Alyn
Rob & Anne-Marie, thanks - very appreciated.
Bob
Hi Scott, thanks very much.

I enjoyed the Dylan of the Showcase.

I'm always glad to see you pop up here. An inventive use of the wah. I enjoyed the signature sound and the poetic feel of the lyrics. Nicely done! Tom
So glad to see you back around, Bob. I enjoy your songs. This is no exception.
A super listen. One of your best "bands", I think - a great sound and a solid mix. The wah was a nice touch.
You should definitely list the RTs you use when you post. I think there would be a lot of people out there that would hear your songs and say "Man! I've got to get that program!" - I think your sound could help sell BIAB to a lot of singer/songwriters out there...
floyd
Alyn,
Thanks very much. So glad you like it.
Bob
Guenter, thanks for listening and commenting - much appreciated.
Bob
Tom, thanks for listening - much appreciated.
Bob
I always look forward to your posts. Glad you're back. Good song, excellent use of instruments. Something new with the Wah sound but still keeping the signature sound intact. Excellent work.
A new 'one of my favorites' from you.
Hi Bob.
Loved it. Particularly the chorus which I'm still singing.
Great backing track and I always like lyrics which leave room for you to weave your own interpretation.
Nicely sung too - suits your voice perfectly.
ROG.
Floyd, that's very nice of you to say - thanks.
Bob
Charlie, thanks. I was hearing the wah-wah sound in my head so had to get it out. LOL!
Bob
ROG, thanks very much - so glad you liked it!
Bob
Hi Bob,
It's great to see you back again! There's no-one on the forum who paints lyrics with the same impressionistic brush strokes that you do. There is something about the way that you put words together that gives them a haunting quality. This is a great melody. Like ROG, it was still playing in my mind long after the song was done.
Enjoyed it!
Noel
Oh yeah! Glad to see a new one from you. That wah wah
sim really nailed it. You have a signature sound
that we've missed. And, yep, the congas are back!
Nice write, vocal and production and we had fun
listening.
Excellent!
J&B
PS Great title/hook
Noel, that's very kind of you - I really appreciate that. Thanks.
Bob
cool tune. Creative stuff with the wah wah sound..... nicely done.
Robert
A very enjoyable listen - nice instrumentals, percussion and as previously mentioned a catchy chorus.
Janice & Bud, thanks so much!
Bob
Thanks Peter - appreciate the listen and kind words.
Bob
Bob, I just listened to you tune. Nice atmosphere !
Personnally, the whawha is not what I like the most. I think the effect is done on the "Dire" soloist track.
I am presently spending a lot of time on this RT, picking up the pieces of phrases to build a solo for a song I wrote a couple of years ago.I didn't withstand the desire to make some "Dire-Straits" stuff
I'll propose it on this showcase in a few days.
