I thought this track would be of interest to BIAB users. It was done some years ago as an exercise to see how many ways BIAB could assist in creating a track.
The starting point was a chord progression and style from the BLUEJAMC fake book provided by BIAB:

• BluJam04.SGU and BEEBROCK.sty
• Melody was suggested by the BIAB Melodist.
• Chord substitutions at 1:30 were suggested by BIAB.
• Harmony at 4:00 was generated by BIAB.
• Title “Sad Impulse” was generated by BIAB.
• Ending was generated by BIAB.

I played the solos at 2:45 and 4:25

Most of the time was spent auditioning sounds/patches in an attempt to break away from the GM sounds and come up with something fresh.

Again, this exercise was done many years ago and today’s BIAB program has even more capabilities. What a great program.

Very smooth. You make good use of a lot of BIAB's features. This is a good demonstration and should encourage folks to see what BIAB can do for them.

cxp,

An enjoyable listen. Interesting.

The bass captured my attention a number of times.

cxp nice use of all the instruments. Very interesting experiment and I really like it. Similar to Floyd, I found the bass really standing out and seemed to pull all the other instruments together keeping the overall sound moving forward.
