Howard,

Welcome to the Showcase. A nice first post.

A very pleasant listen. Nice arrangement and pleasant vocals. The chorus reminded me of a sound similar to Steve Gillette's "A Little Warmth".

Interesting collaborations - how did you hook up with all those people?

Enjoyed it.

Hi floyd,

Thanks for the feedback. You have an amazing catalog.

There are quite a few collaboration sites online. Some good, some bad and some we won't even mention. Signed up to a few, most are free. The one that worked the best for me is Kompoz http://www.kompoz.com/music/home

There is some amazing talent out there willing to help. RB and BIAB are great, but the live human touch is still the ultimate.

Check it out. Keep in touch.

Happy New Year

Excellent collaboration. Loved the vocal and lyric. Hear a little James Taylor there

Hi Howard. Like everything here.
The rich harmonies are a big plus.
Kompoz looks very interesting.
Cheers.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the comment. Wasn't thinking Taylor when I wrote it. Words and melody originally written in 5 minutes as part of a songwriter competition.

You have an amazing catalog. Been listening for half an hour. Can't leave.

Happy New Year

Hi Richard,

Harmonies and dynamics has always been my thing. Loud all the time is just not where I'm at.

You certainly have a gift for lyrics. Been listening and enjoying your songs.

Best wishes for a healthy and happy new year.

Hi, Howard.

To steal other people's adjectives, it was a pleasant listen.

30 years to finish off a song - impressive! I'd have given up after 15! wink

Hi David,

But it only took 5 minutes to write.
Thanks for the feedback.
Have to go work on my synSinger impression now. Hope I can nail it in less than 15 years!

Hi Howard.
Welcome to the forum. What a great first post. Isn't the internet amazing for these collaborations that are possible now? I have been trying out Bandhub, which is fun but nowhere near the quality of this song. Well done.
Posted By: Howard Delnick Re: Song Of The Man - 12/30/16 07:23 PM
Hi Joanne,

Modern technology is truly amazing. There is so much musician resources available out there. Tried Bandhub as well, but it's not quite what I'm looking for. I really got lucky with Kompoz.

Thank you for the feedback.

Keep making music.

We have some really talented folks here and it appears you will fit right in as well. Welcome to the forum.

I love the technology that lets us collaborate across the world or across town. Between Band in a Box and the internet, there's nothing that can't be done and done well.

I like the song and the easy country rock feel it has. It would have been cool to have the lyrics posted as well since there are writers here, myself included, who like to read the lyrics.

Nice production chops in there too.
