Bob,
An enjoyable trip into psychedelia with a really catchy chorus.
You`ve done well to capture the sound with just a few instruments- is that a phased 12-string at the beginning?
Cosmic splendor indeed!

Robert
100% genuine '69 Groovy!!

Loved it!

Electric lead is awesome. Is that you?

Hi Bob. Liked the groove in this one and the melody.
Don't know why but I thought she was going to crash the car and go up in flames.
Oh well. Keep them coming. Cheers.

Bob

That was nice - Monkees? (reminds me of something from their new album).
Great title - perfect accompaniment for the lyric.

Peter
Enjoyed listening.

Robert,

Thanks!

Yes, that is a 12-string acoustic RT run through a phaser effect. I did the same with the bass.

Bob
"I’ll try hard to remember
Your cosmic splendor"

Nice line!

You captured the late 60s groove pretty good I think. Enjoyed the listen!
I really liked the 12 string effect -- It was that extra something that set the song's uniqueness and a great precursor to the electric lead.

Enjoyed it a lot.

David,

Thanks very much.

That electric lead is an RT - I layered it in places to get that sound, but it's all BIAB!

Bob,

Nice trip into the past. Good job of making everything about this feel and sound like '69 (We watch the Janis Joplin movie yesterday... so were already in the SF groove smile ).

Good mix. Good vocal. Good mix. Groovy.

Bob, this did capture a late 60's sound(and yes remember those days) . For me the sound of the acoustic guitar definitely nailed it. Good work! Torrey

Julie Sunshine
Makes a peace sign
She’s singing the Stone Poneys
She’s in the groove

Great first verse, sets up everything in this song so well!
(mentioning the Stone Poneys in a song, love it)
love the overall sound, that wash of instruments, nice lead guitar
strong write and performance

Floyd,

Very appreciated - thanks.

What they all said. Waaaaaaaaaay cool! And dittos on the Stone Poneys. Love it all. The drum entry was very effective as were the vocals and solos.

I'm calling the inspiration Nico's "Femme Fatale," am I right?

Femme Fatale

Bob, when I said Lou, I was thinking of Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane."
Sweet Jane
(Perfected, no doubt, in Needle Park, NYC

Boy, did these guys rack up some critical acclaim on the QT circuit.
(There are better videos of this, but not with the same "authenticity."
