Smooth as silk
I’m about to lose my grip
Turns me on
Till I just wanna hold you baby
All night long
Things you’ve said
It all goes right to my head
When you make that sound
Well I’m about to come unwound
Right now, I’m ready
I’ve been ready since the day I was born
Bring it on and rock steady
Rock me steady baby
All night long
Rock steady
I just love to hear you talk
With the mids wide open
You can walk that walk
I just love to hear you sing
With the humbucker working’
Gonna make it scream
Right now, I’m ready
I’ve been ready since the day I was born
Bring it on and rock steady
Rock me steady baby
All night long
Rock steady

Good driving rock beat throughout. A rock steady feel, for sure.
Kenny
Strong rock sound - with a nice driving beat. Especially like the chorus.

Kenny,
This is very cool - love the late 60s / early 70s feel. Great vocal and mix - love the guitar solo.
Excellent!
Bob
Nice Rocker. Really good mix on this one. I couldn't talk for a week if I tried to do vocals like you do. It would be cool and almost a supernatural experience to hear such a hard voice over a stadium PA.
Enjoyed my listen.
Charlie
Rock Steady indeed! Very cool vocal as usual. Nice, tasteful guitar solo, was you using the strat with the humbuckers?
Kenny, Nice bluesy delivery of the vocal and the doubling sounds great. Nice and tasty guitar work. Great chorus and the production and mix are well done. Good one. Rock Steady! Tom
Very cool tune Kenny. Super bite to this tune. Guitar and raspy vocal were very cool

Love the feel of this, Kenny. The vocal and guitar solos add to the cool, languid mood!

A love song to your guitar!
Cool sound. Great vocals! Nice guitar work.
Grit! to the max.
Nice.

Hello, Kenny
A nice late 60's Rock.
Rock Steady indeed!
Your guitar solo is very tasteful.
And your shout reminds me of John Lennon a little bit.
Love the Piano 2157 Vintage.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

"I just love to hear you talk

That's just too cool!
As floyd said "Grit to the max!"
We couldn't imagine a better vocal track for this...perfect for the vibe!
Reminds me of reading where Johnny Winter said when he was young he practiced singing into the pillow at night...I suppose to appease his mother
As always all is top notch with the production including the pickin' but the vocal...yeah man, the vocal!
J&B
Good job Kenny! I tend to agree with Shigeki about Lennon on this one. It kind of has a Lennon type feel to the vocal phrasing. Thanks, Torrey.

Thank you Charlie
appreciate your kind words, I can't seem to sing any different from this these days
unless i really sing softly, and that's only for ballads
I just try to belt it out from the heart, keep between the ditches
and hopefully stay on pitch enough.
Rock Steady indeed! Very cool vocal as usual. Nice, tasteful guitar solo, was you using the strat with the humbuckers?
Dave, thanks
I kinda wish I had that guitar, just found the pic that showed a humbucker
or what appears to be. I used to play on one that had a bucker in the back
and regular strat pickups in front of it. I recorded with a strat copy
something Eddie V had a hand in designing, very nice neck on it.
Appreciate your kind words

Thank you Tom
Appreciate it!
Cool groove! Love that funky 60's kit.
Sweet rock n roll!
Hey, Rock on Kenny!
Started listening on the 'phones, but just had to play that loud on the the big monitors.
A classic piece of rock with a solo that could make your ears bleed.
How DO you get that vocal sound? Awesome!
Loved the whole thing.
ROG.
Another great one. Rock Steady says it all.

Very cool presence on the vocals here too.
Rob

spent so many hours listening.

(and Hank Williams)
Hi Kenny,
We're liking this a lot!
Interesting how you double the vocal and pan it slightly left. Your raspy voice fits this perfectly. Di and I were thinking a hint of Bob Seger. Being a lead guitarist myself (Al), I can appreciate your appreciation for the guitar. Cool tune, arrangement and licks. Great stuff!
Alan & Di
Cool groove! Love that funky 60's kit.
Sweet rock n roll!
Thanks Lawrence

When I started writing this one I didn't know where it was going,
then it hit me, it should be a love song to my guitar, duh!
Threw in "come unwound" "mids" "humbucker" and that was that.
reminds me of steely dan and a mix of billy joel .good mix really enjoyed it

Thanks,
I've been listening to lot of old Billy Joel songs lately and absolutely
love Steely Dan but how you heard those two in this is a real surprise
to me. It sounds too rough to me to do justice to either of those, maybe
more kin to early ZZ Top. Anyway, maybe I unconsciously stole some
phrasing from bj, I haven't figured it out yet.
Thanks for the listen and comments
Kenny,
There's no two ways about it, this style is perfect for you... great melody, great singing, engaging lyrics, spot-on mix!
Really enjoyed it.
Regards,
Noel

Always glad to hear from you
Fantastic!!! This is a hit!! This would have sold millions of copies in the era when pop music was great. Wonderful feel. So catchy. Love your arrangement and vocal-kind of a departure from your style. Really clever lyrics. Reminds me of Squeeze Box by the Who in that way. AWESOME Kenny!!! Take care. Greg
Very nice rocker! Like the gritty voice, and the guitar playing fits perfectly!
Steve
Great gritty vocal Kenny to a very well produced song. Loved it all the way through.
Paul
Hey Kenny,
We stopped in for a second listen. This song is about as good as it gets for your style. Again, we loved it!
Alan & Di
Very nice song. Great production.
Excellent vocal and guitar playing.
