I haven't been able to comment much (sorry); can't be helped. Lots of great stuff on here. Hope this doesn't constitute "dumping"! eek

Beulah
You know I need you oh so bad
Beulah
Best girl I ever had

People they say you been
You been runnin' around
With your fancy man
But baby, you know
Ain't nobody else
Who do you like I can.

Beulah
Let's spend the whole night long
Beulah
I never done you wrong

People they say
They seen you around
With that old fancy man
But baby, you know
Ain't nobody else
Do you like I can.

Buelah
Girl, you been on my mind
Beulah
You are oh, so fine
Oh, so fine.

Mr. Burke,

(you've paid your dues many time over, buddy)

This is terrific. GREAT mix! Great vocal! Love the band!

Once again, you get more outta a handful of words than anyone has a right to...

A great listen!

Wow, what a great song! Love your vocal, and the arrangement/mix is about as good as it gets IMHO.

Enjoyed the listen!

What an awesome vocal, Bob, and it's mixed just about perfectly. Love the laid back vibe. Who's that in the picture?
Posted By: ROG Re: Beulah - 03/22/17 08:13 PM
Hi Bob.

A bit smooth, a bit 1930s, a little bit sleazy jazz club and altogether wonderful.

A classic backing track with your signature vocal.

Excellent.

Robert, some people just have it, and, well, you're one of those people.

This is great and just further demonstrates the versatility you manage to exude from this amazing software suite.

Knockout sax solo.

The rest is equally amazing.

Another top quality contribution. Enjoyed everything about it.

WOW, very very cool!!! I've always loved your vocals but never heard you sing better than this. Only Ray Charles could do this song better (but sadly not anymore). Really well done in every way (write, arrangement, mix, and VOCAL)!! Take care. Greg

Bob, I am a huge fan of your economy of words writing style, but I am a bigger fan of your vocals. Cool chord structure. Loved it! Tom

"Dump" all you like. When they are this good the more the better. As Janice says the slinky sax and vocal are a match made in music heaven! And the production values are pro all the way.

Nice!

Bob,

It seems I have a bit of catching up to do on the forum! Apologies for being a bit late to this. It's fantastic. As always, you know exactly the right words to use to get the maximum effect in as minimum a word count as possible.

Not only is the write great and your singing a real pleasure to listen to, but the arrangement is really soars on this.

A terrific journey!

All the best,
Noel

Hey Bob,

Is this a cool song, or what? We're gonna go with "cool song". Love the little nuances with the chords. And that vocal sounds as though it's an indigenous part of the song - it simply wouldn't be this great without it.

Bluesy Jazz is right down our ally and this is one of the best examples of the genre we've heard in ages. Thanks for a real treat! Best to you,

Alan & Di

PS: That sax was great - perhaps a wee bit louder?
Posted By: 90 dB Re: Beulah - 04/06/17 09:41 AM
Alan and Di,

Thanks for the kind words. I thought the sax was mixed a bit low as well. Hope you are both feeling better.

Bob
