Wait until Manana

This is my Easter project. Any advice as to how I am proceeding with it;
I would be most grateful.

Here is what I put in the Soundcloud description:
Variations on liturgical theme.
Working from a recording, the credit for this song is varied, all the way from PD
Italian Folk & PD Bluegrass to copyright claims by several management companies. I substantially altered the chord chart and am gradually working on a new melody. In fairness, I have taken a license for a limited number of internet streams. (As usual, any original work I have done in sacred themes is Common Use.)

Hi Edshaw, Very soothing piece you've written! I really enjoyed the ambience and flow this brought. Well done! smile

Thanks, Joe.
I was looking for a way to do something different with hymns backed by Hank Finger picking, which I have been wrapped up in now for a couple of years.
The popular thing now is worship and praise. I wnated to get back to that driving choir or congregation accompaniment. Once I found acoustic pop and started workin with it, progress in that direction came along.
Looking forward to breathing some new life into the songs I know and like.

edshaw, I was going to answer this tomorrow, but decided to go ahead now grin .

Interesting sound passages that you have managed to create. Soothing, and enjoyable.

Beautiful piece. A nice arrangement and a bit unique with the increase of volume near the end of the song.

Enjoyed this.

Thanks, Video Track and Charlie Fogle.
I've had an affair with the I - IV for some time, now, and
esp the C-F. Watching the movie, the life of Mozart, only served to pique the interest.
Opening line is C-C-F-F
At 00:44:00 >
1 ) walk down the C chord with a passing D note and hold the G note ( 5 of the scale ) Then, for bar three,
2) walk down the C chord with a passing D note and hold the
A ( 3 of the F scale) just at the change to F at the third bar.
It reminds us of Jessie Coulter's "I'm not Lisa, my name is Julie."

Yeah, Charlie, that finale is a little crazy. I did that mainly for the benefit of the musicians in this forum. Kind of like, wait'll they hear this, smile

rsdean, Joe, Torrey, & Scott:
The kind comments are appreciated.
I'm having some fun with this chordal and melodic structure. Four eighth notes and a half note, followed by a whole. | Wait-un-til-mahn yaah-- | nahhhhh...|
Can't quite find the same feel in a 3/4. Not complaining, mind you, I will....
Not that many years ago BIAB offered a selection of waltzes, but look it it now -- there must be over three hundered waltzes.

Ed this is super. Great choice in sounds topped off with some sweet guitar chops.

As mentioned it did remind me of I'm not Lisa.

Great job on this one.

Mario and Al-David:
Thanks for listening and taking the time
to express that you enjoyed the song
It's a fun one to play & lends itself
easily to improvisation.
Yee, Mario, that great you tube
of Jesse Coulter at the piano in front
of the fire place, playing "I'm Not Lisa"
