HI Bob,

We really enjoyed this. The baritone guitar gives it a neo-retro feel. And you made such good use of the acoustic guitar. This is really good, our friend! And great choice on the drum track you chose - it really defines the song.

Perhaps if you brought the bass line a little more forward in the mix, it would further define the great rhythm nuance you have going. Just a thought.

Great song and another super listen from you. All the best!

Hey Bob,

I like the really sparse arrangement here and the haunting guitar.

You really have an artistic "identity" that is "rock solid" (pun intended.) smile

I also admire all your beautiful album cover artwork, how do you do that? Are you using some special program?

Also, how do you make individual changes on the art in soundcloud to each song? Every time I apply "new art" to a soundcloud song it changes all of the pictures. Maybe I need to look more closely at the how to change it for just the song, not whole profile listings....

Real catchy tune Bob. With few words you still conveyed some real emotion. Sounds very good to me! Thanks, Torrey.

Bob, this is your best to date IMHO.

Every track was crystal clear and blended perfectly in this song. Of course your vocals to it over the top.

Great song.

Bob,
You continue to bring us really catchy songs with the unmistakable Robert Dean "stamp": always interesting lyrically, blending a folksy sound to a very modern beat and with something vulnerable at the centre.
This is up there with your best - going back for another listen.

Bob, you've done it again! Another great write. The production is very good on this one as well. I always love your lyrics, as you know.

Very well done!

David,

Thanks so much for the kind words.

In terms of the artwork, I use a variety of tools - mostly Keynote on my Mac. It enables me to incorporate a lot of graphics and lock in the dimensions of the object.

For SoundCloud images, just hover over the image you want to replace and you will see a button that says "Update Image" - use that feature to upload individual art to each song.

Bob, That baritone guitar sounds great. Very catchy. Well sung. I agree with Alan the bass could use a boost. You have really found a sound that works well for you. Nicely done again. Tom

Bob,

This is excellent. Everything in this just WORKS!

There is real commercial appeal here - both the song and the production. The band is excellent! The drums sound great. The acoustic rhythm is just right. Your vocal is expressive. Excellent mix.

Terrific!

Yeah! I love this. You certainly have your own signature sound, which is a good thing! Great choice of instrumentation and mix sounds good to me, maybe 2db louder on the bass. Love the vocal!

The Baritone guitar makes it what it is............well done, I agree that the bass could use a boost.

Tom,

Thanks so much. I tried several different bass guitars, but they all fought with the baritone - the "held" bass seemed to work the best. Appreciate the listen and feedback.

Hi Robert

Great tune Bob. I would never have thought that drum track would work had I just heard a guitar/vocal demo. But, man, does it ever. You are so good with fleshing out all kinds of rsdean nuances each time but keeping the aforementioned signature sound.

Your vocal, the write and the groove really combine for a mesmerizing listen. Very cool.

Very catchy and the mix of styles works very well. I also like your choice for the ending. The fade out is a fantastic selection.

This song definitely belongs on your White Album.
