https://youtu.be/5wDDRT2vEFUhttps://soundcloud.com/torrey-bliss/apple-of-gods-eyeFor this track I used several realtracks to get the feel I needed. This is a song of encouragement for someone who has placed very little value on their self worth. I hope it is an encouragement to someone! Lyrics are in the YouTube video. Thanks for listening, Torrey.

Hi Torrey,
Another excellent production from you. There's a lot going on here but it all fits in perfectly. Good message! Your technical skills equal your performance skills. That's a great combination. Super classy all the way.
I saw you mentioned you used a Carvin electric guitar for one of your personal tracks. You may recall when I PMs you about my friend, Buddy Keele who lives in your home town. Buddy is his nickname but his real first name is Carvin ... and yes, his father named him after the Carvin Music Company. I thought that was pretty cool to see you mention that as I thought about my friend.
Again, super job on this. loved the video, too! Wishing you the very best,
Alan & Di
You have another very cool tune Torrey. Love the effects you used with your voice. Gave it a Dire Straits vibe for me. Super vocal and guitar was excellent...
Thanks for the kind words Al & Di. I appreciate it! T
Torrey,
That was awesome man!!! Great song!
Production question: how did you get that full on Tom Sholz Boston guitar sound? That was killer!! What effects did you use??
Torrey,
This is terrific music. A solid write. Extraordinary melody! So "musical". Really enjoyed the listen.
Super arrangement and production. As David said it has a "Boston feel" to it - really well done.
There are a few places where the vocal gets "swamped" by the instrument tracks. Might just need the vocal to be raised a bit at that point. Otherwise, this is extraordinary. Really enjoyed it - an excellent listen...

So when did Tom Sholz record with George Harrison?
This sounds like a beautiful Harrison song
This is a beautiful Torrey Bliss song
great uplifting message, warms my heart
just to hear this genuine caring for others
thanks for sharing
Kenny

Really nice progression - great production - loved the guitar on "Your Valley" section and really pretty solo. An excellent song.
Peter
Torrey,
Great song - really enjoyed your vocal on this one. Excellent mix as well.
Bob
gospel rock, or pop?
Well, you sure make it sound like a pro.
Very nice chord progression, and cool vocals as always.
In the mid-regions your voice often reminds me of one of the singers of Toto.
should be a compliment I think ;-)
Rob
hi torrey very engaging vocal excellent great write mix everything perfect thanks for sharing eric
Scott, thanks for taking time to listen and comment. I appreciate it. T
Wow, Torrey, that was quite impressive! All of the personal touches you added really work together to give the song a cohesiveness that I don't hear in every song!
Regarding the guitar harmonies... did you play the parts separately? Or did you use a harmonizer? I'm impressed either way, because in my opinion it's not easy to get good-sounding auto harmony. But on listening again, I'm guessing you played both parts because the two notes don't always go in the same direction as a scalic harmony tends to do.
Parts of the song reminded me of George Harrison's style.
I'm always happy to see songs of faith, and to see people using their talent as a ministry. Good job, and I look forward to hearing more from you!
Thanks for the comment David! For the solo guitar parts I played twin leads and double tracked the primary line with about a 10 millisecond delay on it.
We like what Kenny and Pat mentioned...George Harrison.
The lyric is of course spiritual but that element of
spirituality carries through with your vocal and in
our opinion Harrison was a master of that.
The guitar and vocal effects were, well, effective
Love those soaring guitar licks.
Pat used the word "cohesive" and that's a good choice
for describing the production. Everything fits so nicely.
Excellent list and watch!

Thanks Floyd for listening and giving welcome advice. Actually I had already noticed that some of the lines were covered up a little with everything else going on in the song and I have put a revised mix up (same link) on Soundcloud. Your advise is always welcome here!! Thanks again, T
Wow!!! This is a great song! I love the message, the tune and the voice. I don't know if it's just me but it has this George Harrison type of feeling and I like it.
Is it okay to use your song in our church related activity?
Thanks!
What a tune, Torrey! Really enjoying the twin guitars, and the mix is superb. Not to mention the vocal delivery is absolutely on point! A very engaging listen indeed - thanks so much for sharing
Thanks Kenny for those kind words! I'll take a George Harrison comparison any day! He was /is one of my all time favorites.
Thanks Froi for your kind words! I appreciate it! As for the song you can certainly play/sing it in your local church. Hopefully it will be a blessing to someone. Thanks,T

Thanks a lot, Torrey!
Hi Torrey
Thats really great and upbeat ,super production.
Could I ask if you dont mind ,Did you come up with the lyrics first or the music?and did you find any particular difficulties that needed work?
Love it,
Hugh
Thanks Steve for listening and commenting. I appreciate it! T
Peter, thanks for taking time to listen and comment on my song! I truly appreciate it! T
Hello, Torrey
Very pop tune as always!
I like the chord progression to go back and forth between C major and A major.
Guitar tone is very fitted to this tune.
Your vocal performance is also splendid.
Very enjoyable listen.
Best regards.
Shigeki Adachi
Thanks for listening Bob! I appreciate it! T
Thanks Rob for your comments! They mean a lot to me! T
Great write torrey ,to me sounds like a mix of ELO and George Harrison .brilliantly put together and strong melody
Eric, thanks for listening and commenting on my song! I appreciate it! T
Thanks Pat for listening and commenting! As for the harmony parts on guitar, I did play separate lines. This always takes some time for me figuring out how certain harmony notes blend well with the chords played behind these parts. Torrey
Thanks, J&B for listening and commenting! Appreciate it! T
Thanks Hugh! This is a song I've had in mind for a long time and honestly can't remember if the lyrics or chord/melody came first on this one! The main difficulty for me on this one was working with the 12 string electric guitar realtrack (getting it to fit with the rest of the mix without off color notes popping up. I panned that track to one side and panned my 12 string electric I played to the other. Thanks, T
Thanks for listening Shigeki! T
Thanks for listening and commenting Biglad! Appreciate it! T
GREAT STUFF!! I hear so many elements that I love here- Harrison, Toto, Ambrosia! It's like a mix of all my favorite sounds! Wonderful!! Take care. Greg
Wonderful song and sounds Torrey!

I almost missed this one. Everything that I wanted to say already has been said. Great backing tracks, super lead guitar work, outstanding vocals and lyrics all perfectly mixed.
Two thumbs up!
