Howdy, Hi

Wrote and recorded this in about an hour one Sunday night
and immediately wondered if Janice might like to sing it.
Sent an email to Bud and Janice that same night, haven't changed
a thing except for the frog hair tweaks in volume (1-3 db) recommended
by Bud. Janice's vocal is more than I could have hoped for,
this simple, light-hearted love song soars with her voice carrying
it along. Love working with you guys, there's so much good soul,
good people, good hearts from these south GA folks.
Thanks,
Kenny

Thanks for listening

One Fine Day

The nights full of small conversation
I’m here with nothing to say
There’s moonlight
And all the stars are shining
Feel like i’m floating away

Fill my heart lift me up
l’m an overflowing cup
Darling see how you make me this way

Fill my heart lift me up
I say love will be enough
And darling
You’ll see that one fine day

Someday you’ll look out your window
And maybe feel like you want something more
Until then you know I’ll be waiting
Darling
Hoping you’ll open that door

Fill my heart lift me up
l’m an overflowing cup
Darling see how you make me this way

Fill my heart lift me up
I say love will be enough
And darling
You’ll see that one fine day

Good song!
Janice's vocal performance reminds me a little of Linda Ronstadt, very pure with great tone as usual. Nice harmonies too!
Good choice of tracks, slide sounds great.
Good mix too, the "frog hair" adjustments did the trick!
Nice one guys, enjoyed the listen!

Kenny, Janice & Bud,

Loved it! Sounds like a summer song... Excellent vocal by Janice and some really good harmony with Kenny. Excellent production and mix as well.

Great job all!

Bob
What a tune, 44kfl! Definitely wouldn't have thought it only took you an hour to write this - and as always, Janice's vocals are absolutely perfect. I love the groove of this one, and the guitar solos too! Excellent mix as well - wouldn't change a thing smile Thanks so much for sharing!

Hi Kenny.

A great song with a fabulous feel-good factor.

Yeah, certainly sounds like more than an hour's work to me - boy you must work fast!

Janice could sing entries out of the phone book and I'd like it, but even allowing for that, this one shines through. A wonderful performance which she does so effortlessly.

Super backing, loved the slide and an excellent mix to finish it off.

Good work.

ROG.
"Someday you’ll look out your window

This song is so cute! I absolutely love the lyrics, especially this part! Sometimes the person you want to be with just isn't ready for that sort of a commitment. You know it's true love when the other person is willing to wait until they are ready.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks Dave,

Ronstadt is one my favorites, and she does sound that good!
glad you thought the mix sounds good,
appreciate it

Thanks Deryk,

Please don't think I meant it as a brag that it only took an hour,
I've been writing for many years, sometimes you get lucky and
some of your best songs just come quickly out of the air.
Thanks for the nice words about the mix.

Kenny & Janice,

Super.

The rhythm/cadence of the chorus is exceptional - catchy in the best way! Nice write.

The band does a good job of being "just right". The slide is a good choice...

Sounds to me like Janice is "gettin' her Bonnie Raitt on". Just one more tool in an incredible kit.

Excellent job, y'all.

Well that was a fun listen! You know those songs where the first time you hear them, you feel like you know it really fast...there ya go. Not like it's been done before, like it just feels right.

Bright little tune and that I really liked. It shows how not over-thinking things can be a great asset at times!

Now, about the singer...I'll just say a perfect choice. I will "click on" every song I see her name attached to smile Which is getting to be a fair amount of clicks these days! There is an obvious reason for that. Really well done!

This has a really cool almost gospel style feel too it, with country mixed in.

I really dig the vocals by Janice and the all around production.

Great piece of work.

What a great song and terrific production. Not sure what you "frpg-haired" but this sounds super.

Great song, Kenny. Love the lyric, melody and backing tracks, particularly the slide guitar. And Janice's vocals are always top shelf. This is another great job by her. Terrific in all ways. Standing "O" for all involved!

how did I miss this til now?

This song has the feel of a classic to me... like something you'd hear on an oldies station for 50 years in a row because it has such resonance with a generation!

Good call getting the Merritts involved! They should change their last name to Midas because everything they touch turns to gold!

But it helps to start with a good song in the first place, and that's surely the case here!
