Lawrence,

This has a VERY "live" feel to it. Could have sworn that was you playing the guitar. (Never heard a tambourine, though...).

A good listen.

Hope you'll be around a lot this year!

Went back and listened to the original. That is quite an rearrangement. They are very different yet bound by that great voice.

Like floyd said this has a live feel to it. We often comment on how much we like minimalist arrangements and this is a fine example of one. All you need and nothing you don't. Man, does that guitar ever sparkle.

You are a helluva vocalist and lyricist.

Stick around!!

Have to agree with Floyd. Real live feel to this.
Great tune GR. Rob

Lawrence,
The simple arrangement lets your fine lyrics shine - and to my ears brings a bit more emotion out in the chorus.
Terrific song!
(never heard that guitar RT before- its outstanding)

I can't get over how rad this song is. I have really been enjoying the more folk-y sounding songs lately, so this fits in perfectly with my musical library right now. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Laurence.
Superb quality like all your songs.
Great vocal rhythms and sparkling presentation.

I'll try to avoid saying what others have - the music sounds "live" - and just say that everything just works. As J&B mentioned, the vocals have a lot to do with that.

Nice. smile

Thank you Floyd. The tambourine is sitting back in the mix panned left and comes in and out of the song. I hope to be around more this year too.

J&B thank you for your generous comments! When I heard the guitar realtrack I immediately thought of this song. And the song didn't need much more. It's a wonderful guitar. I hope to be here more.

Hi Gruverider, I found this quite relaxing to listen to. Very folky and expressive. The electric Piano is a nice touch too. Well done! smile

Lawrence,

No-one on here makes music like you do. You've got a flair for the creative that extends from writing right through to the final mix.

I'm always captured by your lyrics and your performance. Just like with every other song that I've heard from you, I was there on this song's journey all the way. I enjoyed every minute.

All the best,
Noel

Nice! Love the lyrics and vocal. Great production/arrangement too, bringing that steel in at 2:20 for example.

This version reminds me of some of John Mayer's latest style.

Really great.
