Good stuff, I dig that D-C-B progression you start the song with, it sets the dark mood for the material that will follow. I think your vocal works well too for the material.
Interesting piece of music, I'm on my second listen.
Great write! Love the story and the lyrics are very strong especially in the chorus.
Perfect choice of Realtracks too.
Another hit!
Richard,
You've excelled here! This is the only song I've ever heard about the great white shark. The story you tell in these lyrics captured my imagination from start to end and carried me along all the way. Your lyrics are compelling!
You've definitely set a new personal best with this creation!
All the best,
Noel
Heh. I would have bet you'd rhyme
hissing with
fishing.
I love the lyric:
Just wants its due / which might be me or youFun listen!
Hi Dave,
Thanks for noting the tension at the start.
The held bass represents the shark cruising.
Cheers.
Very cool song, Richard.
A cool write and very cool instrumentation. As mentioned, your vocals work really well with this type song. (Would love to hear you use the BIAB Pumk tracks!)
Really enjoyed this.
Well done!!!
fj
Richard,
The menacing tone in your vocal suits the theme very well ( those are some gory images!).Nice chord changes as Dave mentioned.
You`ve convinced me-I`m not going in those waters!
Robert
Thank you Lawrence.
I do enjoy a bit of the gruesome at times.
Cheers.
Thanks for your generous comments Noel.
I read where a lady got bit in Sydney the day after i posted.
Survived fortunately.
So quite topical.
Cheers.
Hi David,
Hissing, fishing.
Would use it.
Near enough for a country boy.
Cheers.
Hi Floyd
Thanks for all that positivity.
Had a look and the punk tracks are just what i want.
Would you believe i never found them before!
So many Real tracks and i'm spoiled for choices.
Cheers.
Eerily magnificent! Good use of the the Realtracks. And as stated, your vocals really fit this one well. Great job!
Steve
Wow - what a tune! The amount of energy in this is incredible. I loved the selection of RealTracks here. Every single instrument here plays off of the others. I love the rawness and edge it has.
Great work, and thanks so much for sharing
Rockin' man. This is very strong. I dig it in a big way.
Way to go!!
"Shark song.
Surf Thrash."
Gotta love that
Well done! The opening sets it all up so nicely and your vocal is perfecto for the dark write and production tone.
It sounds BIG and MENACING on our monitors.
I often mention how well a video would work with a song's imagery...think I'll take a pass on this one!
Kudos
J&B
Hi Robert,
Shark bites are nasty.
Never had one but seen a lot of sharks when I was longlining.
All big teeth and evil eyes.
They used to follow the snapper up to the dinghy then bite them in half.
I'd be yelling and trying to whack them with an oar.
But I don't go swimming.
Cheers.
Thank you Steve.
Eerily magnificent sums up my view of the sharks too.
Was good fun doing this.
Cheers.
Thanks for the supportive comments Deryk.
I enjoy spending time trying various combinations of Real Tracks.
It's half the fun for me. Like exploring Aladdin's cave.
Cheers.
Hi David dude.
Glad you like it.
Your enthusiasm is infectious. Thanks.
Cheers.
Throw some verb on that vox.... surf is known for verb.
Heard some TOP influences in there too.
I try to stay out of the ocean because being in it puts me somewhere other than the top of the food chain.
Hi Jan and Bud
I try to sound big and menacing also but of course I'm just a softie at heart.
Nah nah on the video. I'll pass also.
Cheers.
Great suggestion Herb.
Why didn't I think of that?
Probably went overboard with the verb which certainly changes the new version.
I think it's an improvement.
I think the ocean is for fishes and nowadays just let them be.
Still like fish & chips though.
When we eat them that's ok. Not the other way round.
Cheers.
wow, Rich this is so ominously enthralling. The arrangement, the lyrics and the phrasing lured me into the deep. Great job.
Definitely has that shark predator feel. I love our vocal styling on this one. Your lyrics are always interesting, captivating and unique. A great listen, Tom
Hello, Richard
It is a very rare surf song.
I listened to the surf songs for the first time that sharks come out.
The bow bass is also unusual. it's so cool.
It sets the scary mood for this tune, it is very effective.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.
Shigeki Adachi
Wow Rich,
That hard rock approach really works.
You managed to turn it into a typical original RichMac song!
Very nice!
Rob and Anne-Marie
Hi Josie.
I love ominously enthralling.
Thanks for your comments.
Cheers.
Hi Tom.
Glad you found it a bit spooky.
I enjoyed wallowing in this one.
Cheers.
Hi Shigeki
Not many surf songs about sharks.
A few Hawaiian ones though. Well one called Tiger Shark anyway.
I wanted the song to be somewhat sympathetic to the shark.
Thanks for your supportive comments.
Cheers.
Hi Rich,
You don't hear many songs about sharks! This might be the first I've heard. What an eerie story - and so well told/sung! This really works for you - definitely one of your very best, in my opinion. Cool stuff - loved it!
Alan
Thank you Rob and Anne-Marie.
Glad you like a bit of the rocky horror kind of thing.
Cheers.
Hi Alan
Glad you enjoyed that one.
Sort of light hearted but not really.
Cheers.
Cool song RichMac!! You've done everything right as others noted. I used to boogie board a lot in the "Red Triangle" and always gave some thought to "the men in the gray suits" as some call them. Excellent job on this!! Take care. Greg
That was a good one Rich! My favorite of yours so far! Keep on rockin' Thanks, Torrey
Such a unique & fantastic song...
I like it!!!!!... it reminds me of songs created by a cat from Finland who participates in FAWM... Klaus... you can see for yourself by sampling some of his tunes here

Hi Greg.
Men in grey suits.
Hadn't heard that one .
Very apt.
Thanks for the great comments.
Hope I haven't put you off boogie boarding.
Cheers.
Thanks Torrey.
Delighted that you like it.
Cheers.
Hi Jim.

Listened to some Klaus and really enjoyed them.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Must listen to more.
Cheers.

Well, I've seen Jaws and now I've heard the soundtrack. Pretty good work, kept me interested.
Hi Jim.
Thanks for the unexpected bump. Didn't expect to see this one again. And all those listens. I know that's not right.
Oh well. I bask in the glow.
