Embrace the Rain Piano Loop from Logic Pro and Trumpet from Biab. I let BIAB chose the cords, and clicked play.

That is a pretty piece. I close my eyes and see a smoke filled bar with a little jazz ensemble performing this. On a rainy day. Well done!

Hauntingly beautiful. I love the way the trumpet sat in the mix. Really put me in the room.
Nicely done. Rob

Thanks kybordr! I love how easy it was to make with BIAB! smile

Thanks Rob! I think the whole trumpet track was delayed 40 milliseconds on one side of a stereo track. It really made the track come alive.

Wow...I never considered slowing down some of the BIAB RT's, like you did with the trumpet! Very cool approach, and it opened up for me a dimension that I should explore..the mix with the effect is also very nice..kind of like that place between awake and sleep--dreamy. Thanks for posting.

Tommy

Great work

Strong work

Dynamic work.

Melodic work.

Nothing less than to say, very enjoyable work.

Wow - I thoroughly enjoyed this smile It sounds so "smoky" and mysterious. This is the kind of music that goes beautifully with a rainy overcast day. It sounds somber, yet hopeful at the same time. I think it was a very wise choice not to over-complicate this by adding anything else. The minimalist aspect really allows the beauty in it's simplicity to shine through.

Very well done - thanks so much for sharing smile

So in the room, just right, I can see feel the piano keys under my fingers.

This reminds me of those jazz clubs you see on movies and tv shows. I've never been to one personally, but this is the kind of sound that I would expect from a place like that. It's very moody, and I dig it.

Thanks for sharing. This was really great.

Thanks Ember! I was submitting it to a TV show, but it didn't make the cut.

Yeah, that was my question! Quite different from Hugh Jiddiot (or something like that) or your screamin' solos (which I love!). This is beautiful...should be a musical score. Love it Tommy!! Take care. Greg

Yep, that's a purty trumpet.

Thanks for the tip about the delay, I'll have to keep it in mind the next time I want to add reverb but not muddy the mix!
Posted By: Tommyc Re: Embrace the Rain - 03/16/18 11:37 PM
Thanks Greg! I got a sensitive side, that's why I sleep on my back!
Posted By: Tommyc Re: Embrace the Rain - 03/16/18 11:42 PM
Thanks dcuny! It's kinda like a double track, that's a few milliseconds off. lol I use to call it fake stereo imaging, but I think delay may better describe it. I usually go somewhere between 19 to 30 milliseconds lag on the left side. smile
