Hi Gang!
I've been busy trying to get a handle on this virtual instruments stuff. It's like trying to peel a big onion, the layers are outrageous. Every time I think I'm on a roll, there's always something new to explore. Lots of fun though...
Here's my newest: "New England Fall" take a listen when you can.
All the best,
Dave

Hi, Dave.
Any chance you could list the instruments you used?
As you said, it's a nice ambient piece of music that slowly builds.
Hi Dave:
Thanks for listening.
If memory serves; the v.i.'s used in this piece were:
1. Piano
2. Chamber Strings
3. Violas
4. Cellos
5. Orchestral Trombones
6. Orchestral Reeds
7. Violins
8. Bass Viols
9. Orchestral "Hits" (the loud crashing sounds at the end).
I used "Plogue Sforzando" x64 as my foundation.
As usual when I completed this piece, my ears were dead! So today I remixed the whole thing and it sounds 100% better!!!
Thanks again for your interest..
Dave
Daveā¦ This definitely sounds like experimentation, on the way to building something more sophisticated as you get your arms around the virtual instruments. I like how you used a very simple repetitive pattern in stating your theme and I can see how it helps you work through the layers as you went from the basic arrangement and built up to greater depth. I think the place where you introduce the violins at a little quicker tempo needs to be brought more to the front. Very inventive use of the orchestra hits towards the end. Keep on this path!!
Hi Tano,
Thanks for your input. I totally agree with your comment regarding the pacing of the violins. Too much delay needs timing adjustment!!!
Thanks again for you listen,
Dave
This was very breath taking to listen to. Very serene and calming.
Hey Stranger!!!
Long time no hear! Thanks for the listen. I have to take this stuff a bit at a time because it can easily be overwhelming.
More new stuff coming!!!
All the best Dave
Dave,
This is really beautiful! the build os incrementally casual but sounds real nice. That was a real pleasure! Looking forward to more as you get a deeper grasp on your project. This is a really nice base to start from. Best to you.
Alan
Very pretty Dave!! Sounds like a film score. The music is very emotional and the arrangement is strong. Very much enjoyed!! Take care. Greg

Dave
Hey You 2:
Thanks for your input it really means a lot to me.
I have a couple of new concepts I'm dying to try, so I may go "dark" for a while!!!=D
Thanks again for your time!
All the best,
Dave
Hi Dave, Thanks for sharing this with us! Very soothing piece, and I found this definitely creates a mood that I found reflective. Good harmonies with the strings too. Fantastic piece!
Hi Joe!
Thanks for listening! You always have the kindest things to say!
How much money do you need to borrow??? =D
All the best,
Dave
Wow, this is stunning
It sounds so lush and full, and the strings are gentle and easy on the ears. It has a certain cinematic feel to it I found enticing. This wouldn't sound out of place in a film.
Wonderful work on this Dave - thanks for sharing!
ZUP Mr. "D???"
Thank you for your kind comments. If you know any film makers, please feel free to send them my way!!! =D
More to come and all the best!!!
Dave
Yes, it's wonderful building up as it goes along.
