Im just a pumpkin picker. just a pumpkin picker
Well Im just a pumpkin picker and I picked a crop or two.
When Im chippen pumpkins only think about you.
You are my pumpkin baby you are my pumpkin pie.
flaky crust of pastry apple of my eye.
Well Im just a pumpkin picker and Ive sure gone troppo over you.
I went pumpkin picked crazy and I staked em up so high.
When I stopped a picking they ended in the sky.
Ive lost my concentration mind not on the job.
I aint been the same since my heart you came and robbed.
Well Im just a pumpkin picker and Ive sure gone troppo over you. Mmmmm
Well Im just a pumpkin picker and Ive sure gone troppo over you.
Bridge
Well if you where my honey I'll tell you for a fact.
I'd take you on my tractor and I'd plant a pumpkin patch.
I'd build a little humpy down at Burpengary creek.
And stop and say g'day to every one we meet.
Well Im just a pumpkin picker and Ive sure gone troppo over you.
Now where rearing lots of children and their running round in packs.
I found them in the meadow beneath the pumpkin patch.
They have no education and have no need for facts.
They ride upon my tractor and the pumpkins they do stack.
Well Im just a pumpkin picker and Ive sure gone troppo over you.
Well Im just a pumpkin picker and Ive sure gone troppo over you.
Well Im just a pumpkin picker and Ive sure gone troppo over you.
just a pumpkin picker. just a pumpkin picker. just a pumpkin picker

Great fun. Sounds great, and made me smile--especially the Oz slang. Much enjoyed.
Fun song! Is there a real-life story behind it? Are you really a pumpkin picker? You have alot of seemingly first-hand knowledge about the topic!

Excellent production, use of BIAB, and great vocals/backing!

I also learned a new word -- troppo --thanks!
Hi Rob,

A nice song that gets you moving instantly!

Rob and Anne-Marie
Rob that style certainly works for this! Great job! It takes me back to many years ago when I listen! Thanks, Torrey
Cool fun Bob, though the start is VERY sudden and seems, possibly, to have swallowed a syllable in the streamer. I reckon you could afford a 1, 2, 3, FOUR or something to get it going.
Hey there Rob4580! Fantastic choice of instrumentation. The Mandolin and fiddle really harmonize well together. Very fun lyrics too. Thanks for sharing! smile
Oh man, bluegrass meets rockabilly...how cool is that? We'll answer "VERY!"

We'd rather listen again than parse it all out. Great write, a superb vocal and nice production.

A LOT of fun!

Well done!

Hello Tano. I had a friend you used to chip pumpkins (Hoeing weeds)
He told me some funny stories over the years about growing pumpkins.

His daughter got married and live in an old shack beside Burpengary creek.
So the song is a combination of my friends stories and his daughters marriage.
Troppo means to go crazy in the tropical heat.

Hi Ray. Yes I only noticed the sudden start after I posted the song.
I may go back and redo the start. Thanks for your comment.Rob
Ya'll got a winner here! This sounds like a like jam taking place in someone's living room; excellent job on that!

This is a fun, toe tapping song from start to finish. Super vocal and backing tracks. I like it.
Fun tune!! Really well done. So catchy and delicious. Some great lines. My favorite:

Rob,
More fun lines :
"Now where rearing lots of children and their running round in packs.
I found them in the meadow beneath the pumpkin patch.
They have no education and have no need for facts."

Yes, that start is a bit startling, otherwise this is all good!
Thanks for saving me a Google on" troppo".

Rob,

This is an excellent, fun listen.

I really like the way you sometimes take quirky ideas and then you toss them around and turn them into really fantastic songs! I'd love to be able to do that! Your music is always engaging, always enjoyable and always a delight to listen to.

All the best,
Noel
Rob

Infectious - and a fun lyric sung in your inimitable style.
