Hi All,

I'm new to BiaB and I find the program very useful. I started using it to make demos to pitch my songs to my music director at Church. It has made a big difference in doing my songs justice. Here's my first post and song arranged entirely with BiaB.
The processed I used went like this.

1. composed song on piano. Lyrics and music.
2. Arranged tracks with BiaB
3. Recorded vocalist using tracks
4. Exported tracks to ProTools and mixed tracks with vocals.
5. Bounced tracks to track and mastered

It has been quite the learning curve but it has also been a lot of fun. Still so much to learn.

Eddie,

Welcome to the Showcase!

This is really well done. A lot of energy. Nicely mixed.

(A lyric to follow along would be nice).

Who is your vocalist? She is excellent!

Enjoyed that listen.

Agreed. A lot of power in all aspects, progression, vocals, and instruments/arrangements. BIG stuff.

Can I make one comment? I think the note under "-ing" (as in Grace never endING) is too long. That could be rephrased somehow without changing the lyric at all...just rephrasing that line. It's not your vocalist. It's just that long, unchanging "eeee" sound doesn't feel natural. If I'm counting right, it's at least a whole note. Shorten to a half-note with a couple of quarter-note hits following? Just a thought.

Much enjoyed.

Thank you Floyd. Killer music on your page! I'm enjoying it too.

The vocalist is Athena Sorensen. She has a site at athenasorensen.com

These are the lyrics.

He is compassionate
So understanding
Full of love and mercy
Oh, is grace is never ending

And who are we to know
Such love from our great King
It's not what we have done
His grace is never ending

Grace never ending
What joy does fill our hearts
Grace for the wayward soul
Rescued from the dark

Grace never ending
Freely bestowed
Jesus our savior
Our everlasting hope

Jesus He lived for us
Jesus He died for us
Jesus He rose for us
Jesus He'll return for us

Our lives are in his hands
Love so amazing
Nothing can move us
Cos his grace is never ending

Sovereignly he rules
He reigns in everything
So trust in him my friend
His grace is never ending

As floyd jane said, really well done with an excellent vocalist. Loved the piano break. Well done.

You didn't ask for criticism, so I'll apologize ahead of time if this is uncalled for, but I think the piano break could have been cut in half and a couple repeats at the end trimmed off without any damage to the song.

Then again, it's your song, and there's nothing wrong with it as is. I'm just some random guy on the internet. wink

Thanks for posting, and welcome! You certainly started with a splash! laugh

Hey David! No I don't mind critiques at all! You wouldn't be the first one to say the song runs a little long. So, thank you!

Nicely done!! Very good song and vocals! Signal may be a little hot. The piano solo seemed a little too rockin' for the song I thought. Really, really nice job on this!! Take care. Greg

Man, I really liked this! I also love that you are using BIAB to write and pitch songs at church.

That is awesome.

There has been some discussing of starting more praise and worship threads--and this might fit right in.

I'm going to repost it on the songwriter forum.

I have some ideas..

Thank you Robert! As Greg said I do think the signal is a little hot. I'm not sure why because it sure didn't sound too hot on my end.
