Greetings Forum Friends,

I hope everyone is well and doing fine. I know you're making great music!

Here is our latest song entitled "The Beacon's Beam." It's a soothing song about overcoming feelings of loneliness and hopelessness, and a vision that brings you home to the ones you love. I think the image of a lighthouse guiding us through difficult times is something we're all familiar with. The song is more about hope than faith but you could hear it either way.

Lovely song. Super vocal and local. Its funny when your song popped up. I was listening to another member and his voice reminded me of your vocals. Great song.

Soundclick - I haven't visited my account in a couple of years.
A really well crafted melody and nice chords.
The bass is a bit loud against the drums.

Prince Andrew good too hear this,
I was transported to my second love in life the sea, I spent my youth and adult early years at sea.

My Girlfriend now my wife, Always played the song by petula clark sailor to wind me up, as I was always away.

Thank you for bringing that back to me through your song.

Great work on this SpaceDog, this is excellent! This sounds very full and I really dug the chord progression. The piano really helps piece it all together. The vocals sound great too. Looking forward to hear more!

Scott,

Another member reminded you of my singing...poor fellow ;-).

Seriously, I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for commenting.

Ray, Thanks. The bass sounded a bit loud on my car's sound system but otherwise seemed okay. I have both SoundCloud and SoundClick accounts. I like Click better but I seem to get more interest from Cloud. Neither makes any money.

BeatMaster, Prince Andrew, Prince of York. I'm originally from New York. Maybe something there. Maybe not.

The nautical aspect of the song just seemed to be natural fit. I'm actually a Land-lubber. I prefer to appreciate the ocean from the shore.

I'm glad it hit home for you.

Joe, Thanks. First a shout out to all you folks at PGM Tech Support. You really helped me out on my song. Very responsive and accurate. Let Peter G know we users appreciate your support.

About this song, I used audio recording of my keyboard playing this time. It made things easier and I think it sounds better.

Also, you have a keen ear on the chords. I wrote this melody before I played guitar or piano so it was just based on melody, no chord structure to inhibit it's flow. As a result, fitting chords to the melody led an interesting chord progression. I'll have to try that again.

Pretty song SD!! It was quite trippy to see that photo. I did a CD a little over a year ago and used that same image.....very beautiful picture, for the back cover of my CD. This is a very nice song and well mixed/produced...love the seagulls!! Take care. Greg

Really nice work on this one! I'm loving the harmonies on this one, and the progressions in general are fantastic. I'm getting a David Bowie kinda vibe on this one.

Great job, and thanks for sharing smile

This sounds great SpaceDog! A very uplifting tune. Well done!

Greg, Thanks. I guess we both need to ask our artist friends for fresh images. It was sure hard to get the sea gulls to sing in tune!

Deryk, I got lucky on the background harmonies. The melody rides on the 3d of the chords so hi/lo harmony was easy to find. The Major to Minor chord changes old school but I think they still work. Thanks for listening.

J&B, I'm glad you liked it. I was going for soothing and reassuring.

Dani, Good to hear from you. Your new photo looks great. Thanks for commenting.

David, Thanks for listening and posting. Glad you enjoyed.

SD..great composition..really liked everything about it, including the production and your vocal. The bridge is well engineered and introduces some unexpected changes, keeping the listeners attention. You kept the lyric message going very nicely, developing it out with each verse...good job! You also chose a style and rhythm pattern that actually simulates, to my ear, moving along the water. Excellent contribution!
