Here's a playful little tune that I cooked up to squeeze in before the end of the year. My first post on the User Showcase. It's a very simple song, and the phrasing and timing are not the best, but hopefully you enjoy it.

Style is C_BLUE.STY (Blue - Classic Country Shuffle)

Style MIDI Instruments are:
Acoustic String Bass (33)
Acoustic Piano (1)
Jazz Electric Guitar (27)
Acoustic Guitar (26)

RealDrums:
NashvilleShuffle^02-a:Sidestick, HiHat , b:Snare, HiHat

Lead piano is the Plogue Sforzando Acoustic Grand Piano, as recorded on a MIDI keyboard.

Edit: P.S. - If the quality is not up to the standards of the showcase, please let me know and I'll get it moved off.

I think this could use a little humanizing - I know it can be done in MIDI but I don't go near that stuff.
The lead line playing has a nice human, natural feel that the Midi, to my ears, doesn't quite match.
Now, you could quantize the lead lines in a DAW and make them fit MIDI easily enough.
Nice lead lines though.

Hi Ed,

Very nice for a first post! The highlight for me is the live piano.

Good stuff, looking forward to hearing what you come up with in 2020.

Ed,

An infectious rhythm - had me dancin' in my chair...

The instruments are well balanced, each coming across as "having their space".

Look forward to what you might post throughout 20202...

Great entry to the forum and, hey, a bluesy shuffle which is
right in our wheelhouse.

We only use MidiSuperTracks so can't really comment on the midi aspects but
the mix sounds good on the KRK's and presents a nice soundstage.

Enjoyed it,

J&B

A pleasant sounding composition...
Sounds to me like its begging for lyrics smile

Hi Ed,

I love it! You've done a great job.

I'm sitting here smiling from ear to ear as I type. This relaxed and engaging bounce/shuffle style is the perfect tonic for days of reading newspapers about gloom, doom and bushfires. Thank you for giving me some very pleasant, lighthearted entertainment --- I needed it.

Also... there is absolutely no restriction on what the standard of music on here has to be. Users Showcase is very accepting and supportive of diversity.

All the best,
Noel

This surprised me as it got better and better the more I listened, finally to the point where you won me over completely. Good first effort and now you've got a spot to grow from.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback and comments. I'm going to use that positive energy to create some new and better tracks, while I listen and learn from the stars here.
