Howdy,
New here, just got BIB as a Xmas gift and used it to create drums & bass on my new song.
I write and perform my original songs using Studio One.
here's my latest song.

Good song, I like your vocal. Nice playing too, great tone! Your phrasing reminds me of Peter Green a little
Welcome to the forum, looking forward to hearing more from you!
Thanks Dave,
Looks like you got some good stuff going with Blue Attitude.
Great guitar sound with that latin beat - very beguiling. The whole track is very easy on the ears - just sort of glides along and carries you with it.
Thanks EDZ,
I appreciate your kind comments.
A little like Santana guitar wise. Vocal is nice, lyrics a little repetitive but okay. Nice job overall. That's all I got to say. ; )
Captain,
A good track. Good use of BIAB. Welcome to the fun.
A nice easy flow to the playing. Good mix.
The whole thing was like Tom-Waits-Leon-Redbone teamed up with Santana as a backup band. Cool... Enjoyed it.

Hi Captain,
When listening to your song and especially that Latin-touch I got the same feeling as what Tunemonger wrote; it felt a bit like Samba Pati from Santana (except for the singing). I got the feeling before reading the posts on your song. Funny!
So that's a nice start in this forum!
About your singing I like that heavy sound, but on some occasions you did that a bit too much. I would say, don't do the 'overdrive' and stay like that, if you know what I mean.
Hans
Nice work - loved the Latin touch, it really helped give it more character. Super smooth as well, and decently catchy.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the comments,
Your observations are right on.
My inspiration on that was John Lee Hooker/Santana "Chill Out".
Very minimal on the lyrics.
Thanks,
I've been writing/recording my own songs for a few years now, since I retired.
I know I'm not a great singer but, I do have a few voices I use and the Waits/Redbone tone comes out every now and then.
Thanks Hans,
Good feedback.
That voice I used on that is rather harsh but, it was the mood I wanted.
No O/D on the vocal just me over-driving my vocal chords
Thanks,
"decently catchy"....I like that.
Is that double tracked lead guitar or delay/reverb panned?
Very Santana feeling due to the rhythms but, as mentioned, a chunk of Peter Green in the licks n tone.
Nice.
Cool tune!! I hear a little Santana in your style!! (always a good thing!!). And I really like your vocal style......voice has a really authentic feel for the blues!! Enjoyed!! Take care. Greg
I hope you're happy now with your BIAB gift!
You made your guitar sing. Nice feel and production.
Thanks for giving that a listen rayc,
Rhythm is an acoustic guitar double tracked.
Lead guitar effects...I blended the direct out from my amp with an sm57 on the the amp.
I panned those L/R, I usually have the delay pedal on and added some extra reverb.
Never thought of my licks as Peter Green like but I do know, I'm not as close as I'd like to be on the Santana licks.
Used BIAB for drums & bass.
Thanks Greg.
I hope to be learning more about BIAB.
Nice to be here.
Ha, good one Ezekiel,
Thank for the comment.
A nice one Captain Moto...
I'm happy to see another great guitarist added to the User Showcase Forum...
And one with such a unique sounding voice...
I certainly enjoyed listening to your song...
Welcome to the forum...
I hope I hear more from you!
Is it you, Carlos?
Just kidding of course... but it is also a compliment. Your playing style and sound is really nice to listen to. I enjoyed your song!
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Jim,
I retired a a while back and decided to dive a little deeper into guitar playing.
That lead me to song writing and eventually recording.
Over the past few years I've created about 150 songs.
I don't consider myself a great player and I'm not a good singer either.
Somehow, when smashed together my limited skills have delivered a few decent songs.
I'm hoping to learn enough about BIAB to help me add more interest to my future songs.
I appreciate your kind comments.
Moto
Ha......... thanks Will,
It's certainly rewarding to have somebody appreciative my work.
Moto
Hi CaptainMoto,
welcome to the forum.
That's a great entry: A good tune, very interesting vocals, guitar sounds excellent, well-played - who could ask for more?
Enjoyed the listen a lot.
Cheers,
Stefan
Thanks Stefan,
I appreciate your comments.
C. Moto,
Cool dark Latin blues. A+ on raspy vocals. Guitar sounds amazing!
Thank you for sharing.
Misha.
Misha,
A+...? WOW!
Glad you liked it.
Hi CaptainMoto,
This is wonderful entertainment!
I love the blues and you've added your own paintbrush strokes of individuality to a really engaging backing and this makes for terrific listening. Your vocals are a perfect fit for the genre. You've got me looking forward to your next post!
I seriously enjoyed listening to this.
All the best,
Noel
Noel,
Thank you for your kind comments.
This is supposed to be entertaining, isn't it?
I'm glad you enjoyed it.

What the heck is there left to say after that?
Pretty much covered all the
influence bases for sure.
We venture out but our wheelhouse is the blues so we were into this from the get go.
Welcome to the forum and thanks for bringing along some cool vocal and
guitar chops!

I'm try'n to be a Blue Player, maybe I'll get there someday.
