Autumn Nights (guitar)

Addendum (03-21-2020) employed some octave shifting on lead guitar to add a bit of light and shade. Pared back the 'wet' on reverb and changed the signal chain somewhat (in addition to the sound-hole pick up I added a Shure PG57 mic) and ran both through a TC Helicon preamp before the mixer. This is what it sounds like now:

I really like this one!

Just a fabulous tone from the Ibanez, and I really like the melody line you are playing. Thanks for sharing your signal chain too, I struggle with getting a good acoustic sound recorded.

Enjoyed the listen, well done!
Well to repeat Dave...yep, that melodic playing is very, very nice
and that bell like tone is very sweet on our monitors.

A fine backup band you put together also.

Enjoyable for sure!

Excellent guitar work. Loved your tone and effects

Beautiful melody and yes, the update is even better. Will you make a vocal from this or will it stay an instrumental? Good either way in my book.

It's one of five tunes I intend to lyricize before the end of the year (although the experts tell me the best songs are usually written on a 'words-first' basis). We'll have to wait and see.

Listened to the new version. This is just lovely. Everything is just so in place, balanced and clear, its just a pleasure to listen to. At just over 4 minutes, it held my attention throughout, which is impressive. As others have noted, the guitar tone is fabulous. The use of the oohs and ahhs is subtle, yet very effective. I'm really looking forward to further developments on this song.

Ghostgum,

Very pretty, soothing tune. Didn’t listen to your first version, but this sounds just right to me. Well done!
